Treehouse Dining - CN

The Treehouse Dining option at CN looks very cool! Anyone tried it and feel it's worth the extra $$? (Assuming booking a private Treehouse dinner is extra/not included in regular dining options.)

So excited to be going to Jamaica & CN for the first time on April 3!

We did it for 30th anniv and thought it was fantastic. 5 course meal with one waiter. they bring Champagne to your room then walk you to the tree house

We have done it twice...but we did it with our resort credits...so it didn't cost us anything out-of-pocket. It's about $150.00 otherwise....for a special evening....anniversary.....proposal....birthday... .. It was so spectacular!! You choose your menu ahead of time. At the time of your dinner, your private server knocks on our door with champagne and escorts you to the treehouse. The server is yours for the duration and the treehouse is decorated so beautifully and the food is amazing. I thought room service breakfast was decadent....but this tops it big-time!

If you are celebrating anything special, then this is a MUST.
You feel like your "rich & famous". We liked it much better than on the beach where people are walking by & there can be sand fleas.
We also recommend the couples massage in the tree house. What a life !!!
I keep telling my wife "Next time I'm going to marry for money"....of course after 40 years of marriage she knows I'm bluffing....

Doing dinner at CN in the Treehouse is well worth the cost. We were there for our anniversary last year and enjoyed the treatment we received. As oxbgirl said, they come to your room and escort you to dinner. The food is excellent and the service is awesome. It's such a romantic thing to do and something you'll remember for years to come. Don't foget to bring your camera...you'll want pictures.

There is room for 4 but I don't know if they allow it since the entire meal has to be carried up the stairs by the poor waitress. By the way I'm pretty sure this is one of the times you are allowed to tip at Couples.

We've done the dinner twice and both times our server was from the restaurant department (i.e. a Couples employee) so I'd disagree with your assessment.

We had dinner in the treehouse on 8/23/11. It was the night of our vow renewal. It was so wonderful and romantic. We were greeted with a glass of champagne at the bar at Lychee. We told Keniesha (the wedding planner) to have the waitress meet us there instead of at our room. The dinner was delicious. Appetizers were Thai Style Fish Cakes, Crunchy Garden Green Salad, Surf and Turf(Lobster Tail and Grilled Chicken Breast) and the Chef's Selection for dessert.
This year we will be at CTI and are planning a private dinner on Tower Isle. Can't wait!!!

You can contact them ahead of time if you wish. From the "restaurants" page:
"To reserve your private dinner, please contact the Romance Concierge in advance or visit the guest services desk upon arrival."

Yes, you need to book in advance since they just do one an evening. We got our second choice night. Just send an email to the resort, and they will forward a form for you to complete. You choose from one of two menus and can just pay when you arrive. My only regret is that we didn't tip waitress. I know "you're not supposed to tip," but it really was a special evening. She did a wonderful job, and yes, had to carry everything up the stairs. I did mention her on our comment card.

I went on the assumption (maybe a wrong assumption) that anything I paid extra for (spa & treehouse dinner) were out of the realm of normal Couples employee functions & therefore I tipped them. Our waitress went up & down those stairs 7 or 8 times so I don't feel that tipping was inappropriate. Now all the "rules are the rules" people can start yelling at me.....lol
