HI all;
I'm trying to figure out of upgrading the room at CTI is necessary. Last trip we had a garden verandah suite at CSA as it was the lowest level with at tv and minibar. From looking at the room descriptions at CTI, they all seem similar. Do they all have tv? How about a mini bar? Any advice is appreciated!
All have Flatscreen TV only suits have mini bars.
All rooms have TV's, a shower, radio/ipod station, and a king size bed.
All the standard rooms, (Deluxe Garden, Superior Ocean,Deluxe Ocean, Premier Ocean) are about the same. The better the room, higher cost, is for the better view and location. Standard rooms do not have mini bars.
The suites, (Garden Jr. Suite, Ocean Jr. Suite, One Bedroom Suite) are the only rooms that have a mini bar. The suites also include bath robes, shower, and a Jacuzzi Bathtub
Is a suite necessary? If you need a mini bar then the answer is yes. If you need a bigger room and Jacuzzi Bathtub then the answer is yes. The suites are nicer than a standard room, but only you can answer if one is required.
We just got back about a month ago from CTI, having gone on the Secret Rendezvous. We got the entry level garden view room. They all have TVs and only the suite have a minibar. Although we did not have an ocean view, we had no problem with the view and decided not to upgrade. It was a very nice room -- bright, cheery and well-appointed. Hope that helps.

It is TOTALLY worth it to get a ocean view room even the lowest ocean view category. The ocean views at CTI are the most spectacular in your face ocean views of all couples resorts. You'll be sorry if you don't. All rooms have TV's but only the suites have mini bars. Never missed the mini bar at CTI because of the elevators and the bars being so handy.
All rooms at CTI have T.V.s. The only rooms with mini bars are the suites. The first four years we went to CTI we stayed in the Deluxe Ocean Veiw rooms, which were then located in the main building. This year we decided to save a little money and stay in the garden rooms. All rooms have been re-done and are wonderful. Can't wait for January 16th 2010!!!!

I can tell you that not all rooms have a mini bar/frig. Ours did not. We stayed in a garden view room in the main building. It was located on the 3rd floor and just above the lobby. The location of the room was great. You were right in the center of everything. The view from the balcony was overlooking the front entrance fountain, but we are not in our room during the day. For us, it was perfect and not worth the extra money to upgrade. We were directly across the hall from the ocean front suites. They faced the beach, we faced the entrance. You have to figure out what is important to you, as far as room accommodations. Hope this helps.
