I know that all airlines can have their problems, and it seems that the choices are getting fewer and fewer, but we have made the decision not to fly US Air again. Our last three trips have been terrible. Last trip to Jamaica they cancelled our flight home after we had been standing in line for a couple of hours and wouldn't give any reason. We had to leave the next day and instead of going through Charlotte, we had to go through Philadelphia and didn't get home until after midnight. The time before, in Cancun, after waiting at the airport for almost 8 hours where they said the flight was delayed, they cancelled it and we had to wait until the next day to leave. During the delay they kept saying it was mechanical issues but when they cancelled it, all of the sudden it changed to "weather related". And we knew the weather was fine, so they out and out lied. Both times, we were very lucky that we had an extra day before going back to work or we would have had a problem. The time before, our flight going to Cancun was six hours late leaving. Three times in a row were too many for me.

Lbmv, was it hard to switch from aa after you discovered your flight had been changed? Also, how long before your trip did you discover the change? Thanks

We had a lovely flight on US Air , to and from MBJ, through Charlotte. Nothing to it, mon. Piece of cake.

just flew from Chicago through Charlotte to MBJ. It was a great flight. I would make sure you have at least an hour layover going. It is a mid size airport. We stopped at duty free and bought cigs for use in Jamaica. But just had enough time with a bathroom break. On the way home we had an hour and forty minutes. Immigration and customs went smoothly but you do have to wait in line for a bit depending on how many plans international land at once.
