    Default USD or JMD?

    The last time I was in Jamaica was 15 years ago and we used USD for all our transactions. Even in the craft market in Ocho.

    Is that still the case?

    Hi, of course you can still use USD. Or you can charge things to your room and pay by credit card or USD on departure.

    Yes, US$ is used. Pricing is also in US$ unless you go to a grocery store.

    Still the case. We were just there last year and everyone will accept US Dollar We leave Monday for trip 3.

    US dollars are widely accepted everywhere. Really no need to exchange your currency into Jamaican dlrs

    US dollars are accepted everywhere. Off resort you will get slightly better deals using jamaican dollars (for cabs, crafts restaurants bars etc.) They tend to round up if you us US dollars.
