Use Passionate Rewards credit for room upgrade

I did a search and could not find anything about this. If I recall correctly, Couples is changing their room upgrade for Passionate level repeaters to a $200 credit. Does anyone know if that credit can be used toward a room upgrade if available?

My understanding is that the credit is for your next visit, not the current one so the answer would be no.
