Default weather for next week ~ getting nervous

just looked ahead at what the weather is supposed to be next week in Negril and I have to say I am now a little nervous! My hubby & I are going to be arriving at CSA on Sunday the 21st and stay thru the 28th and by the looks of it all we are going to see is rainy days!
What does one do if it rains all the time (besides the obvious of course)
I have high hopes of going to swim with the dolphins, riding the cat cruise. glass bottom boat, snorkling, etc.. and a preplanned surprise private dinner on the beach for my hubby to celebrate our 20th anniversary!! Rain will put a damper (no pun intended) on EVERYTHING!!!

Please please please..... Sun gods, meet me at CSA for the week ~ kick ole man rain out to sea!

3 days, 18 hours & 4 min. until we are swept up up and away....

looking forward to being swept away and not washed away @ CSA!

    ~Deb & Rick~

We will be at CN the exact same week and I am as upset about the forecast as you! I saw on the weather channel today that they are expecting some tropical epweather development next week with favorable conditions for rain and thunderstorms all week! We also have a special dinner planned in the treehouse at CN. We will keep praying that the weather men are wrong once again for all our sakes!

I'd say don't go and sign your reservations over to us and we will endure the weather for you.

It looks like the rain will spoil your entire trip. I would seriously consider canceling it.

The report you're seeing is the standard report this time of year. The radar suggests nothing but nice weather with a few occasional evening showers, but that's a possibilty any time of year. No worries!

Don't look at the weather it will just stress you out. We were at CSA a few weeks ago and it did rain every day. But it was only for a short time and then the sun came out. We had one day that was completely rained out but we still were able to find something to do lol. No worries it is just liquid sunshine! Enjoy your trip!

At least it says scattered thunderstorms, it will hopefully be sporadic. We will be there 10/20-25.

My husband and I have been watching it closely as well! It is getting better the closer it gets if you have looked at it today. Either way, I'll take rainy weather in Jamaica all week over pretty weather at home!! Bring it on!!!

It's hurricane season - it's going to say the same forecast through November. The forecast says rain every day because it rains every day in hurricane season - but usually for 30-60 minutes at the most. When I was on my honeymoon in August 2011 - I was in Negril, sitting at CSA looking at the forecast that said "rain, rain, rain" and we never saw one single drop of rain the entire 8 days we were there!

It'll likely rain each day, and that's when you can go in and take a shower - by the time you get out it'll be done. There are the occasional days it rains all day, but it's usually a mid day shower unless there is a hurricane. Half the time if you look at the "RIGHT NOW" weather - it says "Partly Cloudy" - no rain....

I will be at CSA Oct 24-28 as well - I never look at the weather forecast. I'm sure we will enjoy plenty of sunshine!

We had a private dinner in the tree house at CN last January. It started raining during our appetizer and we didn't see our waitress for an hour when it stopped raining!

    Default I would not worry...

We go every year about this time and the most we have seen is a short time of showers in the afternoon. I don't know if this year is different but we will be there with you. And, my wife made some really cool t-shirts so look for us!!!!

Thank you dank120 ~ your post was the first thing to put a smile on my face in a couple of days!!

Thanks to the rest of the positive posts too! It was just such a let down seeing rain in the forecast for EVERY SINGLE DAY for next week!
I Have known for the last 3 years that a week in paradise somewhere to celebrate our 20th anniversary was exactly what I wanted to do. In Jan. '12 I actually started researching many, many different places only to keep coming back to CSA. By the end of Feb. I knew my choice was made ~ the resort I kept going back to time and time again ~ Couples Swept Away! Booked in the very beginning of March and the count down began! Words can not describe the excitement that has been building inside of me as I have watched the number on my vacation ticker go down, down, down!!! Then to see all that rain forecasted was like having this entire vacation (and everything I have been looking forward to doing) ripped out from under me!!
I certainly don't want to sound like a whiner, but I have never been ANYWHERE out of the USA, so I have absolutely no clue what rainy weather is like in the tropics. Now, knowing that it may only rain a little bit here and there each day and still be able to sit on the beautiful white sand beach ~ well, I can handle that!

As of right now, my ticker says that I have exactly 1 day, 1 hour, 0 min. and 40 sec. until our plane takes off and whisks us to what I hope is paradise on earth!

    ~Deb~
