What is an acceptable tip for the drivers and luggage handlers?

What is the customary tip for the drivers/luggage handlers to and from the resort? I know they are not employees of Couples. Is tipping them in American Dollars okay?

When we go, we tip the baggage guys a buck a bag, and the driver twenty. American dollars are accepted.

Same as novastar, I think 10 bucks pp for at minimum a hour and 15 minute ride is good. 2 years ago , our driver got a speeding ticket and everyone on the bus chipped in for his fine too.

I totally agree with novastar! We tip $1 per bag at the airport and $20 to the driver to and from the resort! We appreciate the fact that these drivers get us to and from paradise in safety! Twenty dollars each way to us is not too much to pay for that!

This is both funny and awesome! After all he was just trying to get you to paradise just a little quicker! We give the drivers $20 each way and $4-$5 for our 3 bags.
