I think the view is worth the price, and am trying to decide between the Beachfront Veranda Suite, Beachfront Suite, and Ocean Veranda Suite. We stayed at CN last year; this will be our first trip to CSA. Any help is appreciated!!
Jan
Hi Jan - we have only stayed in the BFVS previously, most recently in January. Our friends have stayed in an Ocean Verandah suite, and they had a very nice view of the Caribbean. Of course, it is hit or miss with the Ocean suites. I love waking up in the middle of the night, and going out on the verandah to gaze at the lights of Negril, and maybe even lay on the couch and enjoy the sounds and the breeze. Then there is nothing like drinking coffee on the verandah in the morning and watching the ocean. Or enjoying a cocktail on the verandah in the late afternoon while watching the sunset. So those are all reasons why I think the Beachfront rooms are worth the extra money.
We are, though, finally taking the big jump and have booked a BFS for next January. I just got tired of Bob "sighing" every time we passed those rooms, looking longingly at the big verandahs. I know that it's not a guarantee that we get the perfect wrap around balcony, but I have to give it a shot. Bob swears that he won't miss the TV in the BFS, and I remembered that I only used the tub in our BFVS room on our first trip. We actually do spend a fair amount of time in the room and on the verandah - Bob frequently wants to get out of the sun around mid-afternoon, and likes to relax on the verandah when he's not at one of the beach bars.
Judy,
Are the BFVS closer to the ocean than the BFS? Is there much difference in location? Sounds like they're similar, but the BFS does not have a TV or tub - which is OK with me. I love the idea of a huge balcony as long as there's an ocean view.
