Thread: Photo Contest Delay

Hello Everyone,

I want to apologize for the delay for the Dec and Jan results. There was a bit of confusion on our end and I take responsibility. Thank you for your patience. The results will be up shortly. Hope you won!

Well maybe I have been confused and lost in thie whole snafu but from what I see there have winners selected twice from December entries and still no winner selected from NOVEMBERS entries!!!!!

I remember Randy saying that Decemebrs winners were to be selected from Novembers entries because Novembers winner was selected out of the December entries.

I don't think you are confused, but somebody sure is!! It's difficult to believe that after all of the posts pointing out the problem that occurred with the choosing of "November" winners from the "December" entries, that another big mistake would be made yet again this time. Now it is even more of a problem, as those who posted pictures in the December contest, have now had a double chance at winning 3 free nights, and those who posted in November have had no chance of winning anything!

It seemed like such a simple thing to fix, what happened???

The prospect of winning 3 free nights at our favourite Couples resort is a wonderful incentive for us to submit some of our photos into the contest, it's unfortunate that whoever is responsible for choosing the winners doesn't take more time and care in doing so.

Yea, it seemed easy enough, one of the winners posted at least 5 pictures, which the rules say that your entry would be thrown out?

I do appreicate Couples holding any type of contest to reward us, so it's their contest and their rules. The whole November/December thing is still confusing??

You can always repost your pictures in another month's contest and try again? (If I'm reading the rules correctly, lol)

I think everyone who posted pics in the November thread should win 3 free nights for the aggravation

our vacation time is coming up in first week of may... and i have been frantically trying to figure out a way to financially make a trip to our home away from home, Couples Negril, and i don't think we can financially do it right now i'm so sad!@

C'mon folks. Submit a good picture, if the judges like it, you win. It's easy.

What is unfair is that some of the entries are obviously taken by professionals. There should be a stipulation that entries entered by couples whose photo has been taken by a professional should be disqualified(i.e., wedding photos, etc.). Although I enjoy their wonderful images, it is unfair for those of us who don't have the expertise and attempt to take the perfect picture.

Per the rules, you must take the picture. I've only seen one or two in several years that are certainly NOT the work of the submitter. No big deal.

Play the game. No sore losers allowed. I post my pics and take my chances. No one is perfect and if you look at the December winner, he did post November 30th, but it showed up on Decembers list, so he should have won. The other winners were from December, but who wants 2nd or 3rd place. We all want 1st, so keep posting and stop the pity party. It is sad seeing grown adults complain about a contest. Let's move on and keep trying. Best of luck to everyone.

The thread for the May contest is now open. Have the March winners been announced? Also, where on the new message board are the rules for entries (number of photos allowed, non-professional photos only etc.)?

I can't find the rules anywhere either? Do I have to submit a title bfor each pic or can I just post the pic no worda

Can we bump this thread to the top? No winners have been posted since February. Are the winners for the March and April contests going to be announced soon? Does the May contest end May 31st or is it May/June with the winner announced in July?

I am waiting myself. We are planning a trip the first week of July and it would make our trip to Jamaica even longer. I love it there and the longer the better. No announcements yet. I check everyday.

Since the rules are gone, I'll post the basics:
1. 3 picture MAX or you'll be disqualified
2. You must have taken the pic (no wedding photog pics)
3. Include your name and dates of stay

Tentative 4 (can't remember if this is a rule, but it certainly was for a couple of years): No collages
