These pictures are from CTI from Feb 6-11th. Was the best vacation I've ever had! Would love to come back again for 3 free nights

1. This is taken from the balcony outside the main lobby. This was the first day it was sunny from the time the day began til we had to go in and shower for dinner! Amazing!

You need to use [img..] tags rather than URL.
I corrected two, and left an example with one...just remove the three dots.


Edit: I see it didn't work. Use the long link from Imageshack like I suggested in post 70 and wrap it in the image tags.

So I do have my photos on flickr is it easier to link them from here?

I am testing one of the pictures right now with the link from flickr

Flickr is how I do mine. just click on the image you want, right click on the image on the resulting page, and copy the image link...then put it in [img] tags.

Done!

If you still have trouble, and I can get a few minutes, I can do a full write up with pics/steps.

3 pictures per person per month? Right? So I can add 3 and my wife can add 3?
And if we don't win in say April we can re-enter them or a different 3 in May?

Try this, and you can do it here or in the "Sandbox" thread in the Help forum...

1. Find a pic you want to post.
2. Right click on the picture, choose Properties.
3. Go to the Summary tab and note the size (like 800x600 etc)...you may have to click advanced to see this.
4. Open www.imageshack.us
5. Browse to your picture and then upload with Upload Now
6. Copy the link (it will end in .jpg)
7. Open a post here and use the Insert Image (looks like a mountain) feature.
8. Paste the URL in



THEN

9. Use the uploader once more and upload the same pic as you are used to.
10. Submit your message.

We'll figure it out, and we're looking forward to the pics.

So I got most of this done. I created an account at imageshack. I uploaded 3 of my pictures (it gave me the option to resize so I selected 640x480). The upload seems to have worked as I can see 3 thumbnails of my pics in my imageshack account. But now your #6 above says 'copy the URL...'. Can you be specific as to how I access the URL you are referring to? I see multiple options in imageshack...'share' or 'get code for forums' or 'get code for websites' etc.

Next to the thumbnail, click "Image Details" and then expand "Links to this image". Use the DIRECT link between image tags.

I'll do screenshots if this doesn't finish the job for you, just let me know.

You used [url] tags instead of [img] tags. You can edit your post and simply replace the [url] with [img].

I was at CTI in June but I wanted to post some photos for the contest but I see the June is closed. Can I submit them in July?
