Thread: anyone else 2011? Or are we just crazy?

Hi everyone!!

Wow i have been away for a while and have missed a ton!!!! Its so glad to see all of you are getting closer to your wedding dates and are updating all of us. That is so appreciated and really why i wanted to create this conversation/thread.

The dresses you posted are gorgeous, both of you.
Carrie, I love your rings! So nice together!! Mine is similar but i have two smaller stones on my engagement ring.

Here's my update! I went to couples in the beginning and met with the wedding coordinator at swept away. She was super nice but super laid back. (remember i'm a teacher and i practically do planning as 75% of my job). I think she thought we were nuts for meeting with her a year in advance. To them, it probably seems like an eternity (the way they do weddings). But i found out a few more details and i'm very excited!!
I'm so glad the year mark has finally passed!! now i get to count down days in the 300s and only months, not a yr and whatevr months. Yay!
Also, two weeks ago i sent out our save the dates> They came out really nice. We used 123print.com. We got 80 5x4 magnets (with our pic on them) for around $70. Bought $35 worth of stamps and we were good to go! Im looking forward to setting up our registry in the next couple of months and eventually looking at real invitations.
I hope all of you keep coming back to this thread with updates! and OF COURSE! i want to see tons of pictures once your weddings happen! (Mine seems to be one of the last ones , being Aug 2011).

hey everyone! so happy to join the "2011" club lol. my husband Danny and I will be renewing our wedding vows for our 10 yr anniversary 11/12/11 and i can barely stand the wait! we had a "football wedding" like my husband likes to call it and no honeymoon as we both already had small children when we were married and our son Daniel was born 8 months after! for my husbands 30th birthday 6 yrs ago we went to jamaica and stayed at a sandals resort in ocho rios where we fell in love with jamaica

we always said we would come back for our 10 yr anniversary and get re-married just like we always wanted to, on the beach. we had originally booked at sandals negril for our nov date but something just did not sit right with me about that resort (im SURE you ladies can understand that feeling) when i found couples resorts i knew this was where i was supposed to be, especially swept away.

we are planning to ask some close friends and family to join and opted to send out save the dates with wedding website for detail info instead of traditional invites. im so glad i found this thread! i thought i was the only nut planning for 2011!! lol

I am just finishing up the STD and will be mailing them next week. Yikes I better get busy. Wedding website is almost done, well my part of it is finished just waiting for FI to do his part. Once I finish my STD I will try to post a picture. I know how much we all like looking at projects that we are doing for the wedding!

I booked my spa and salon appointments with Debbie! My wedding is at 10am, and I asked for a 730am booking, but the reply was that the salon didn't open until 9am. They were willing to get the stylist to come in at 8am for hair and makeup, but I had to get my nails and toes done the day before. 168 days until our wedding day!! Even my hubby who wasn't really keen on the idea of getting re-married told me that he's really looking forward to it.

At least they are willing to come in for 8a.m. I was hoping to get a 7:30 appt as well. Hopefully it will only take 1 hour!

Its so exciting to hear how excited everyone else is about their weddings! I'm so jealous that some of you are in the 100s now and even in the 200s. Im still 322 days away . EVeryone says once you're within the 1 yr mark, then time flies. However, when you dont have any planning to do, i think it will not go as quickly.
SUn-glad you're getting those std's out. its about that time you should post a picture of what yours look like. i should do that as well. Ill get on that soon.

R & R 11/11/11 me too!! were getting married the day after you and cant wait...417 days and counting..down! lol

I tried to post my STD, but every time I try to upload it comes up file failed. so frustrating! I am mailing this weekend forsure. Waiting on a few address from the FI.

yes we are asking friends and family to join us too. im so looking forward to our trip and renewing our vows. i've found such great info on this board and this thread especially! just love looking at and reading everyones great ideas. any thoughts on what to do for a reception?

We are getting married on Friday and that night (according to this year's schedule) is the "Shipwreck Beach Party", so that will be our reception down there. We will be having an actual dinner/dance reception nack home in February or March of 2012. I don't want to spend the money for a private reception there... We picked an all inclusive resort so we didn't have to pay for drinks and food, ya know?

Not sure what they do on Saturday nights...

if im not mistaken, i believe the beach filmfest (again, according to this years schedule) is set for sat night. sounds like great fun but im thinking of a small dinner for everyone to enjoy and just unwind and be together. since im likely to only have my very close friends and family with me (10-12ppl most) im sure we will have a great time, though a beach party sounds like fun too!
i agree about the all inclusive. i think its so much better than worrying and carrying around money. its like whatever you want just do. it takes the fussing out of your trip

YAY, another 11/11/11 bride! Aren't you so excited???!!! We are the only one's booked right now, but we are expecting about 20-24 people also! 13 months to go!

We just booked 10 days in July 2011. Our wedding date is not set but I am hoping to have it July 9th or July 10th!!!
