Ash and Sun.. thanks for the tip.. I'll check it out. I'm almost done with my OOT bags.. mini bottles of sunblock, lotion, hand sanitizer, Door hangers, still need to buy--fans and then I guess i have to still get the bag's part of it!! Whoops!

What does OOT stand for? I wasn't planning on doing that for the guests, but after reading what you are all doing, it sounds like a great idea

Trishamarie - fixed the double wedding date. Sorry about that. Was trying to do to many things at once.

TJsmiles are you getting married July 11 or Nov 7 ? I can never figure out if its the month first or the day. I always put the day first, but I know others put the month first.

OOT bags are also called out of town bags, they are just a nice little thank you for your guests that have travelled to come to the wedding. You usually put just little sample size items like bug spray, sunscreen etc you can also add bigger items as well. I have included a starfish wine stopper. My camera is broken but I am going to buy one tonite so I will post pictures sometime this week of my OOT bags and the stuff I am putting inside of them.

I want to do OOT bags for my guests too. So far I only have my parents, brother and best man. I was thinking to give the best man breath right nasal strips (he is sharing his room with my brother and my brother said he would kill him if he snores! LOL). And I was thinking I was going to put ketchup in my dad's because he has food issues and I read somewhere that their ketchup is different in Jamaica, so I figured this would help with his issues! LOL Its fun to think of little things you can put in those bags to make it personal.

Dave&Jessica- those are some great ideas for the OOT bags. Great way to personalize them.

I am going out tonite to pick up some immodium for the bags. I have been waiting for them to go on sale. I wanted to order them from an online company but shipping to Canada can be expensive. So I am just going to buy a couple of boxes and add a few pills to each first aid kit.

Jessica, i think the ketchup thing is hilarious and personal. Thats awesome! The breathe right strips are great too!! I was originally thinking of doing OOT bags but we have about 12 rooms of people coming and i think i'd need a whole suitcase just for those bags! THeres already so much to bring! I'm starting to get paranoid about traveling with my dress and his suit and all the fans and bubbles we bought and all the normal stuff you bring with you. We registered for bigger luggage, so i'm hoping we get that BEFORE the wedding! lol
Does everyone know when they're bridal shower is giong to be? Mine is not a surprise bc my schedule is so crazy my mom wanted to be sure i had the date saved.

I don't blame you for not doing OOT bags if your group has 12 rooms booked! Thats a lot! I was figuring with right now only two rooms besides ours booked it'll be ok and the room it takes up I can use for souvenirs on the way back!

Whats immodium for? Because if you can't get it in Canada or something and if its something that maybe I should put in the bags I'm going to Baltimore for a cousins wedding in May and could pick it up. Love this thread!

Thanks sunstarsmoon! It feels good to be a part of the 2011 wedding list!! After reading through this thread, I have to say some of you brides have put a lot of work into your wedding with invitations, STD cards, oot bags, fans. We are going just the two of us so I haven't had to worry about any of these things. I have to confess I haven't even thought about taking a cake topper. All I can think about is who is going to see it? And it's one more thing i have to remember to pack and one more thing that will take up space in the luggage. Is that bad?

I added my location girls-Negri!! SO excited!! I just finished my brochure with lugguage tags I am sending out. I am close to being done with my OOT bags. I will attach pictures on next post.

Immodium, is available in Canada, I had wanted to buy the travel sizes but I refuse to pay alot in shipping. Immodium is anti-dirreah (sp) medicine.
I always take it with me when I travel just incase!

During this whole planning process and people say they are coming then they are not coming. I wish it was just the two of us. I am afrad that certain guests are going to look for me to plan their days.

Tj thats not bad at all!! I dont blame you for sticking with low key. Thats one reason why i think most of us fell in love with the destination wedding. I did NOT want to be worrying the day of my wedding if the photographer was going to be on time, or where the flowers were and is the limo where it's supposed to be and oh my i hope the cake gets there in one piece. Theres so much!!! We wanted to have someone else be in charge of all of that, so we could just enjoy our day and value it for what it is; a beginning of the rest of our lives together.
You do what works for YOU!! Im very type A and love spending time on the details (i.e. i make all my own greeting cards by hand with stickers, stamps ect). That isn't work for me. But if thats not your thing, then fine! Dont feel any pressure from us, certainly! We are just here to support and chat with eachother, not make you feel like you're not doing enough. So no worries!! "Everytings Irie!"

ps immodium is for stomach issues... bloating, diahrea,gas etc.

Wow Sharlie! That is some amazing work! I hope you don't mind if I run with some of those ideas myself! Way to go!

Oh, and I'm not sure I'll do the cake topper or not either. Maybe just a flower thing.
