My first fitting is June 27th which im super excited for and we've made our nail appointments for July 29th so i'm super pumped for that. I'm getting the WORKS mani and pedi.

I scheduled hair & mani and pedi's for myself and one of my brides maids the day of the wedding. That will be fun!

So exciting Ash, I have my mani ( actually having gel nails put on) and pedi appointments booked for July 2. My first fitting was scary lol. I knew going in that it probably would not fit. I had to lose 3 inches, I managed to lose 2 so the dress has to be let out a little. I noticed things on the dress that I did not notice when I tried it on months ago. Have fun.

I can't believe its right around the corner... my fitting is in a week and a few days... i made my nail appointment for July 29th (a week before the wedding) with all of my bridesmaids and mothers...my docs are in the wedding office and good to go... i can't believe how real its getting!!! I'm finally in the 40s (days) and now i'm getting annoyed at tan lines and all the fat that i wanted to get rid of that i didn't. I'm getting to the point where i'm like.. .oh well... it is what it is... ill hopefully look the prettiest version of my self on that day and there's nothing else i can do.... But i can't wait to start packing and get going! and where are all the passt brides?! we had so many on our list and hardly anyone has posted pics! geesh! lol

Ps.... we have officially 28 guests joining us! That will be so much fun!

Ash, 28 guests thats amazing. You will have a great time. Well I did not lose the weight that I had planned either. I lost maybe 20 out of the 40. Oh well I leave in 16 days nothing I can do about it now. I have been tanning at a taning salon so that I would not have any lines etc. I tend to get a white mark under my neck so doing this has solved that problem.

Right now I am trying to figure out songs for the video. I am hoping that they will just use the music the steel drum band plays, but will be bringing a cd of songs just incase. I am also very undecided on my hair. I am now thinking a side pony. I have been growing my hair out since January and its very long, actually its driving my nuts. My hair is curly but with the longer layers it takes alot of work. I bought a special curling iron kinda lookls like a cone bigger at the top and smaller at the bottom. to help with the curls. I will be picking up my real touch flowers next weekend, nothing like waiting till last minute. If I can I will post pictures.
I was wondering as well where all the pictures are. You can be sure that I will post as soon as I am home. I know everyone looks forward to seeing all the different dresses and flowers etc.

Sun- Don't fret- i'm sure you look amazing.. and 20 lbs is a lot!! I'm sure you look and feel better than you did before, so enjoy that accomplishment and keep you head high! I've been tanning in a bed as well for the same reason, however i've still managed to get lines from being outside for various reasons-- so annoying.
Also, you guys can count on my that my pics will be up within a week of our return. Its not that hard... not sure why people can't manage that. Oh well.
It is super helpful to see what others have chosen so you can make decisions based on that.
I've been debating with my hair as well. I want it mostly down, with some pulled back from my face, however i feel like havig it down will make me so much warmer... I dont want to be dripping sweat. Good luck with your choice. I think i'm going to just see how i feel at 10 am the previuos days we are there and try to get a feel for the temp. I know august is the hottest month... but its the only time we could go!! Any way, i hope you're getting excited, Sun!! 16 days is nothing!!!!!!!!! We started this thread over a yr and a half ago!!

I am going for another fitting tonite and I am really not looking forward to it at all. Last time we just talked about what had to be done. tonite she will be measuring and ripping (that part scares me) I feel like I might of gained weight since the last time I was there I am so nervous! She is also going to let me know how much this is going to cost. That I am really dreading.

I played with my hair on sunday no one was home so it was the perfect time. I have decided to wear a low side pony with lots of curls in my hair. I also played around with the make-up I bought at sephora. I was trying to do the smokey eye. OMG I am so glad my son's girlfriend is going to be doing my eye makeup cause it looked pretty bad when I did it lol.

Wow Ash over a year and a half this thread was started, it really does not seem that long ago. But a year and half ago we were all its so far away lol. Now I feel pressed for time!

Wow time flies!!! We'll be drinking our first red stripe this time 2 weeks from now. I am surprisingly not freaking out at this point....I'm wondering when my nerves are going to take over. Any other brides feel like that? I go for my final dress fitting on Saturday. I have OOT Bags, Groomsmen, and Bridesmaid gifts packed at this point. We have 28 guest joining us for our "weddingmoon" and I can hardly wait!!

Thanks ladies! They (three BM) will all be wearing Cobalt Blue Dresses from that designer knee length each with different style- one off the shoulder, one with straps and one with strapless!
@Sun- I know the feeling about the makeup especially with dark eyes.. I never can get it right on myself! I always end up looking like I have black eyes! LOL! I'm sure you will be BEAUTIFUL!

Kelcan - when are you leaving. I just noticed you are one day after me. We fly out July 3. I am in the single digits to leave for jamaica and exactly 2 weeks till the wedding.

I am not freaking out or excited at this point. Weird. I think its because it still has not resgistered that I am also going on vacation. My brain is filled with all the little details that still need to be done.

I pick up my dress Wed June 29 and oh boy its tight. When she does the corsett up it gives me one heck of a figure. My sister who can do alterations is going again with me to do the dress up this time since she will be the one doing it in Jamaica, and she said she is going to take a good look at the zipper. The seamstress did take it out but we are hoping that maybe it can be let out a little more. Guess I wont be eating much until after the wedding lol.

I have my oot bags and decorations already packed as well I wanted to make sure they all fit into one suitcase. I have pretty much all the clothes I am taking hanging in the spareroom ready to be packed.

We leave on July 6th! My dress had to be taking down 5 sizes so I am nervous to see what it looks like now and hoping they were able to make it look good...I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

We are there from 6th to 15th!!! I can hardly wait to have myself a dirty banana and relax!!! I am just now starting to get excited! Feels like this day was never going to come!

I'm still waiting on some final quotes from Debbie on flowers and an upgraded cake...otherwise I think I'm good to go!

What did you get for your bridesmaids? I got my girls turquoise swimsuit cover ups, tye dye turquoise sarongs, tye dye tuquoise underwear, turquoise sandals, make up bags, and drawstring beach bags...I wanted to add something else to the bag...I was thinking about buying the girls those tervis cups they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond...anyone have any suggestions?

We bought our groomsmen the reef sandals with the bottle cap openers...

Sun, i can't believe your day is almost here!! You were with me on this since the very beginning. Dont stress about your dress. It will be fine. Try to eat light for the next week or so and you'll be fine! It sounds like you're all set to go! I can't wait to see your pictures to see how your vision turned out! Make sure you take pics of theOOT bags and stuff too
