    Hi everyone!

I contacted Debbie because I was concerned about the sand ceremony script. There are alot of nice scripts out there. I know we cannot change the marriage script so I was wondering about the sand ceremony. Well she sent me the standard script for everything. I will try to attach the document. Lately I have had no luck attaching photos. From her email respose i am assuming that we have to have the standard sand ceremony.

This is what the email read

(I’ve attached the sand ceremony for your review. You’re welcome to have your own script as well and have anyone read it. =))

So I am thinking she means that I can have someone else read a script as well as the one the minister reads. What is your take on that.

I might email again closer to the date to clarify.

Hi jamie&craig, tell us about your wedding!

sunstars, I never even thought about having a sand ceremony...I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the document, I was wondering how the ceremony would go. I agree that Debbie meant that you could add to what the minister says, because I read the same about the vows.

Corey and I leave for Jamaica on Saturday. We're staying in Montego Bay this year, not a Couples, but it'll be nice to get away.

    Default 2011 as well

You are definitely NOT crazy for obsessing over your 2011 nuptials. I am getting married at CSS on March 19th 2011 and I constantly look at this message board. It gets me soooo excited. To answer your previus question, I am bringing about 30-40 people with me so we are going to have a reception at the resort and probably have something small for the family back home that can't afford to go.

    Welcome, new 2011 wedding people!!

What i got from that message was that you're welcome to choose a different script and if you want someone else to read it other than the minister, you can do that too... maybe thats just me? Not sure.
I dont think we'll be doing the sand ceremony just because i would be afraid that the glass would break on the way back to the states or that the sand would end up spilling out before we got it home. We may do a candle ceremony instead. I'm going to talk to debbie to see if that will be okay.

I honestly just want the one year mark to hit already... this whole year and 5 months thing is killing me!!! summer, hurry up and get here already!
some of you are lucky enough to already be within your yr mark. LUCKY!~!

lol anyway sunmoon-- keep trying with those photos! Im dying to see all the stuff you got!!

The waiting is the killer! Congrats on having the trip booked. I am a little nervous waiting till fall to book my package, but its still available for this July so I know I will be ok. I am a homebased TA so I will just keep really good track of it so it doesn't sell out!

    Ashntommy,

wow 190 students I hope you have some help lol. Unlike Carrie I am only 30 mins from Toronto. Actually driving there sat 2 a.m. to drop my son and his girlfriend at the airport for their jamaican trip!

Well I have narrowed the dress down to 3. but who knows when I go in October the style I like might not look great on!

Have not done anything towards the wedding this week! Kinda of at a standstill until closer to the date.

Don't worry! We have about 20 chaperones, so we'll be fine

I hear ya on the stand still thing. There's just nothing to be done at the moment and its killing me. Too far away ! ugh!!
You should upload us the pictures of the three so you can get our votes! (if you care) lol Unless your fiance' comes on the site. Then that could be trouble.
Enjoy your weekend everyone. I can't wait for this summer so that 1 yr countdown can begin!

Here are the style number of the 3 Maggie Sottero dresses I like. Just go to her website maggiesottero.com and you can view them there. This is the 3 I have narrowed it down to, but there are so many on there I LOVE!

We are planning 11/11/11... Nothing booked yet. Just starting to plan, hopefully we have some family go, we have had a lot of interest, but we'll see who's in once the checkbooks come out!

Would you say that a 4pm wedding is too late? I do not want to go too early, we are night owls! Is CTI a great choice for our first time at a Couples Resort? Will our families also like it?

Welcome R&R11/11/11 to our growing group.

I can't help you with the time choice as I have chosen 10 a.m. but also getting married in the summer. I am also getting married at CSS so no help with CTI!

Gosh, I'm in a funk lately...I guess I'm kind of depressed that I've done everything and now I have to just wait. I'm not very good at waiting LOL. Anything new with anyone else?

Hubby found out that he's not supposed to sail, so our wedding date is ok for now. I told my Mom what our plans were and I think she was glad to know what was happening. I haven't showed her my dress and everything I've gotten yet, so I suppose when I do that, it will perk me up some.

I am with you on that Carrie, I have done everything that I can do to this point. I am not going dress shopping until October when my daughter comes for a visit. I do look online, but find myself getting more confused daily on styles etc. So I wrote down the numbers of my favourites and promised I would stop looking.

Thats great that your wedding date is ok! That must be a relief.

I am sure it will perk you up when you show your mom your dress and everything you have for the wedding so far!

Been really quiet on here as well. Suffering from withdrawal lol

    Hey Ladies,
I feel the same way!! There's really nothing to do! This summer ill order some save the dates and start sending those out. (if you have any suggestions, please let me know-- we're broke!). This summer ill probably begin dress shopping although every magazine says you shouldn't buy a dress until 8 months before but thats decemeber! I'm not going to have any time then. So this summer it is. Invitations will probably go out around march-ish (they say you should send them out sooner for destination weddings).
I keep looking at the wedding info on the couples page over and over again to attempt to control my wedding "cravings" but it doesn't really help.
Im going to three weddings this summer. Im hoping that will excite me but also make the time go quicker until its MY turn.
As soon as i begin to get "stuff" i will post pictures. I promise!! You all are a few months before me (i'm august 2011) so you'll be ahead on all of these things. I expect TONS of pictures when you get back to hold me over
We haven't booked our room or our airfare yet. We're waiting for the airlines to post prices which should also take place this summer. So this summer should be good

I hope you're well! Take care!!

I have tried to post pictures of my STD but with no luck. I will try again later today. I am also broke. I use vistaprint.ca for everything. Once you sign up for the newsletters they start sending you free offers all you pay for is the shipping. I did my std magnets with them. I used the free business cards and will attach the magnet part myself. I am also sending a info letter with the std. Again I will try to post these later today when I have some more time. As far as the invites I am making my own. I look at other peoples invites and I am starting to think mine will look cheesy. Oh well I refuse to spend alot on them.

I think I will be sending out the STD in the fall sometime. Invites probably January. Booking the package January or Feb. I keep checking and they still have lots of rooms available. But I don't want to wait to close to the date just incase! I had considered a group rate, but have found the prices not that much cheaper (I am a homebased travel agent.

I am sure those wedding in the summer will be just what you need to beat the waiting game on your wedding.

This waiting for the date to get closer, is killing me, to early to really do anything. I am on the boards everyday just starving for information.

Anyone bought or done anything new for the wedding!

I bought some raffia fans from another bride on another forum. thats about it for me

I'm with you on that sunstarsmoon. I look on here everyday hoping to find something that I didn't think of yet...nothing yet LOL. I haven't actually tried my dress on with my shoes and the other accessories yet...maybe I'll do that and let yous know how it looks.

Here's a question...do you guys plan to tip the minister and/or photographer...if so, how much do you think is appropriate?

Also, how are you making your music CD...downloading the songs as mp3 or something else?

I was thinking of tipping the minister $50.00, wondering if thats to much?? Photographer no tipping I am paying way to much to have her come to the resort. I am having a private catamaran for the afternoon (css) does not have a catamaran, I might ask her if she would like to join us.

Now I am wondering should I tip her as well lol

I am having the steel drum band so no CD for me.

I was thinking $50 for the minister as well. I wasn't sure about the photographer, because it's already so expensive, so I'll probably not. I was thinking I'd probably have to tip when I get my hair done and mani/pedi the morning of the wedding.

yes for sure the salon, I think I am just getting my hair done. My son's girlfriend is suppose to do my make up, Unsure how much to tip the sylist I guess it depends on how much the updo will cost. Here at home I tip my stylist 20.00 for a cut and colour. Cost of cut and colour is usually around 85.00

Oh Man! i was enjoying the "no tip" policy with all this wedding stuff. I guess $50 is reasonable for the minister. I will probably tip about $20 for the makeup & hair combined. I don't want anything fansy.
Does any one have any ideas of make up or hair that they want that they could upload? Any websites ? Id like to bring some picture ideas with me so they at least have some kind of visual of what i'm looking for.
I hope you ladies are doing well!! You're all past the 1 yr mark!!! I'm not quite there yet. two more months for me!
