Trailing

The trailing method is a unique way to decorate wedding chairs with ribbon down the back, which is more of a free flowing look and can include a multitude of colors, textures, and widths consistent with the theme. Just tie the ribbons to the back of the chair, allowing a majority of material to trail down for a flowing effect all the way down to the floor if desired.

Chair Covers and Sashes

Chair covers as the name suggests, covers the entire chair frame for an elegant feel. For a more formal look, sashes may be used. Many people go for a white or cream cover and match the sash with the theme for an enhanced effect.

A sash can come in a number of different materials, including tulle, satin, and lace. Sashes can also be combined with folding chairs or the very popular Chivari chairs with no cover. When this is done, additional accent pieces such as flowers can be tied to the sash as well.

Signage and Other Decor

It has now also become a trend to decorate the chairs that belong to the bride and groom differently than the guests chairs at the reception. This can be done through the use of creative signs such as "Mrs." and “Mr.”, “Bride" and "Groom," or cute personal nicknames that the couple may have for each other. Other decor that can be used for chairs include decorated wreaths, fresh foliage, and garlands.
