Looks like a lot of fun. What is the best way to get there? Is it an all day trip, or can you take about a half a day and go? We are just under 90 days. Time to get the Holidays done and then get serious about tanning and getting ready to go.
We used a private taxi to do a day trip to YS Falls and Pelican bar. If you need the info email me at pcdavis@frontiernet.net I believe it was around $200 for the day.

10:00 a.m here and the temp is 20 degrees. Ridiculous!!!! Negril.....82!!!!!!!!!! The older we get the more the cold weather hurts. Can't wait for those warm mornings, shorts for breakfast and then off to the beach. How many of you have gone to the repeaters dinner on Monday evening? This is our 2nd visit to CN, so thought we would check it out this year!

BRRRRRR L&H!!!!!! Congrats 31113bride, maybe all the Maniacs that are there can have a drink together to celebrate!!! You won't be dissappointed. We fell in love with CN last year. The food, the staff, the beach, the drinks, all are terrific. You can socialize as much or as little as you want and do lots of both. I'll have the spreadsheet updated for the next post.

The repeaters dinners are very good and fun. It's good to sit with the employees and learn about the resort as well as a great place to meet new friends from around the world. We go every year and really enjoy it. Thanks for adding us to the list. B&L

We will be there March 25 to April 2. It will be our first visit to CN and my first to Jamaica (my wife's been to Negril before.) We are going to try the AN beach and snorkeling and open to more ideas. We are really looking forward to finding a new home, can't wait!

We are getting really excited now about our return. So much so, that we are booking TimAir from Montego Bay to Negril. I think this will add a bit of adventure to the trip, plus let us see from the air the beatiful countryside that you might miss on the shuttle. Has anyone else had experience with TimAir? Sandsofca, you will love CN!!! Last year was our first visit to an AN beach and we enjoyed it and spent most of our beach time there. Of course the pool bar is awesome too!!! I will get you added to the calendar. Island_Pair thanks for the heads up on the repeaters dinner. We booked our return last year within a couple of weeks of getting back home last year. We were that sure that we wanted to come back to CN. We are looking forward to meeting others that are returning.

35 days until our 1st trip to Jamaica. We are super pumped.
For those of you who have been there before, we have a few questions: (thanks in advance)

    1) Do you know when the scuba certification classes take place? How often can you go after being certified? We get there 3/4/13 which is a Monday.
    2) Are there any limitations to anything? (Ie: Room service, how many times you can go to a specific restaurant etc.?)
    3) Lobster's on Friday, correct? Can you go more than once? (We love lobster)
    4) Catamaran Cruises & Glass Bottom Boat trips? (How often are these and what time's?)
    5) Transportation to and from the airport. How long will we have to wait to get on the bus after the plane? (customs, waiting at the Couples lounge etc)
    6) Nightlife? I know there is not much going on at the actual hotel, but what do you guys recommend?
    7) Am I missing anything?
We have read the "what to bring threads" etc. Just want to hear from people who have been here before.
Again, this is our first trip to Jamaica and to an AI resort so we would like to be as prepared as possible.

Room service is really just for breakfast and its great to do!! I know that in the suites there are other options. Eat all the lobster you want. It really is all you want or care to eat.
You need to sign up for the cat and the glass boat in advance. The cat is every other day and the glass bottom daily. Transportation is quick and painless. No waiting ever on 6 trips.

Thank you for the information. We are really looking forward to going and hope to see of the folks posting here, there. We are from northern CA, where the ocean is too cold to spend too much time in, without a wet suit, even in the summer. The pool, the beach, snorkeling, and all the rest sounds wonderful, and on top of that being able to float on the ocean (AN no less) is amazing. If we like the AN experience, I can already see a trip to CTI in our future...

L&H, your questions are excellent, mirroring some of ours. Thanks for posting them.

Can I add one? Is there killer competition for lounge chairs? Our only previous resort experience there was. I had to get up before sunrise each morning and bring books and towels to claim a spot. I hope life at CN is not like that.

Look forward to being added to the calendar...

    Cheers!

We did Airlink and loved it. Well everyone except my wife, looks like it might have been a one time thing. We like the bus ride as well so we only did it on arrival.

@ L & H - your going to love CN. Get croissants and coffee every morning in your room. Eat lobster on Friday night until you feel uncomfortable full. Do a bob marley shot at least once. Walk down the beach for lunch at the office of nature. Take the paddle boards or kayaks around the bay early morning when it's calm. Andrew takes photos and Franklyn bartends, tell them hello because they're awesome. I like to share the video I did from last years trip. I dont know if the link will work or not. I'm doing this from my phone.
