Baby Noelle is doing great. My daughter went back to work a week ago. Her husband worked from home the first two weeks. Suzanne is watching Noelle this coming week and Kevin's mom has her the week after. Noelle then heads off to "school". They couldn't get her into daycare until August 20th, so everyone has been helping out.
A week from today Anthony and I head to Germany and Slovenia for a hockey tournament. He is playing for the North American United team. Normally it is for first year pro players or college graduates, but they had two guys bail out, so the coach asked Anthony to play. They had to clear it with the ACHA commissioner since Anthony is still in college. It's really a showcase event where the European teams can see NA kids play and sign them to pro contracts. Anthony wants to eventually play hockey beyond college, so this will give him the chance to see how he stacks up against better players. Next Saturday can't get here soon enough!!
We did have EFF last night and the topic of discussion was airfare. AA just added the non-stop flight from Chicago to MoBay for our Thursday arrival, but everyone was saying that they would rather fly out of Bloomington. It's a 45 minute drive vs 2 1/2 hours to O'Hare. Both flights put us into MoBay around 12:30. It looks like we are ready to book our airfare.
Question for you guys- how do you get the best deal- going through a travel agent or booking directly at couples.com....what have you found in your previous experiences? We already have our plane tickets booked to come back for round 3 and our travel agent is no longer in the business.
Thanks,
Travis
Thank goodness... finally under the 30 Friday to go mark...

We had to baby sit Noelle this past Saturday, so I was able to get a few new pics.

We had a great time on our trip. I saw a lot of hockey and drank a lot of beer!! We had two days in Munich to site see. We had our first practice at the 1972 Olympic Village. Even though they had the summer games there they still had a hockey rink.
We then traveled to Rosenheim Germany for a practice and then a game that night. We stayed in a small 30 room hotel that was 3 blocks from the rink. The Rosenheim Starbulls are in the German #2 pro league. They had about 1500 fans for this pre-season game. They had a beer stand set up in the parking lot along with food vendors. Inside more beer stands. We lost the game with 3 seconds to go, 4-3.
We then traveled to Bled, Slovenia to play in the P Letna Hokejska Liga tournament. All of the teams in this tournament were from the Austrian #1 league. We lost 4-3, 6-0 and then 10-2, ouch. We did play a game in Maribol, Slovenia which we won 5-3. Anthony had the game winning goal, on his 22nd birthday.
Waynef. Very jealous of your Sept. trip. Have a great time. Can you see what Ray needs. I'm going to Penn. in Oct. and will pick up some things then. I'm from Ontario and selection is so much better in the US. Thanks
Happy EFF!!!
23 Fridays until we leave. Big news this week. We booked our airfare. Elberts have, too. Not sure about Callahans. Bloomington to MoBay.
