Cindy - I'm glad that you mentioned the Cocktail Party. Others on the thread might not realize how wonderful the Manager's Cocktail Party is - it's Monday evening, right? The last time we went to CSA, they had all sorts of fabulous appetizers and it was a nice chance to meet and talk with the managers and staff. I hope that we can meet everyone there! It's getting so close, almost time to start packing!

By the way, I flew today and security was just the same as it's always been.

Thanks for the warm welcome Cindy and Judy.

Risa and I are from Montreal - so we can definitely use a break from the cold and snow! We will definitely attend the orientation, though I have already learned a great deal here on the MB. We love snorkeling, and will surely take advantage while at the resort. Nice to learn about the full moon that week!

By the way, not sure if either of you can answer this - but figured I would give it a shot: We hope to play some tennis when we are there, but would rather not have to pack our racquets. Do you know if the resort has racquets available? If so, is there a rental cost? Thanks!

Hi Anthony! The company I work for is Canadian, so I feel like an honorary Canadian sometimes, especially since Bob and I live in Buffalo. Are you Habs fans? We like both the Penguins and Sabres (of course).

They DO have raquets available at CSA, no rental cost, either. You will be in tennis heaven! 10 courts, the pros are great, and the courts are in excellent condition. The jogging track winds around the tennis courts, and it is truly a lovely setting.

    Hi Judy,

We officially welcome you as an honorary Canadian! Yes, I am a habs fan, like most Montrealers. One of my wife's best friends lives in Buffalo, and we visited a couple of summers ago. That town is definitely like a Canadian city when it comes to the Sabres - they love their hockey! I know this especially well since my company is a leading online retailer of hockey jerseys and apparel (http://www.icejerseys.com).

Also, thanks for the info on the tennis racquets - so glad we don't have to pack them! We will be there at this time in 2 weeks...we are so excited!

Hey Cindy-it was so nice seeing you and Toge and being your "neighbors." How was your trip home? Are they predicting a lot of snow for you this weekend?

We had no problems at all on the trip home. Bob "flew" the TimAir plane again.

If you get a chance, my email is jwilfrom@CRAworld.com.

    Take care, Bob and Judy

Hi Judy, Sorry I haven't posted. I think I'm still in denial about being back home. We had the "usual" ride back on what I call the " Buss of Tears", crying in my bottled water, clutching my Couples lunch bag and me, looking at a calender so we could make plans for 2011. The flight home was fine but we had the feeling that was our LAST flight on Air Jamaica! So sad! Todge & I enjoyed seeing you & Bob. We had a FANTASTIC time AGAIN & are about book trip #6 next week. Just trying to get the "air" portion in place. I can't remember when I was that relaxed... Mimosa's at breakfast, spa treatments, snorkeling, sailing, walking the beach every morning, wining, dining & dancing, singing at the Piano bar, relaxing on the veranda, seeing friends every year, IT'S ALL GOOD!!! I guess 13 days of PURE pleasure will do that to a person!!CSA is the BEST!!I'll send you a private email to keep in touch. Are you going next year too? Stay well & have a safe & happy year. See you next January! As Ulti would say..."FEEL the LOVE"

Hi Cindy: CSA has a way of making you smile, even months later, just remembering how nice dinner was at Feathers or watching the sunset.

I just booked our airfare (used the frequent flyer miles). I was surprised how easy it was - usually USAirways makes me go through all sorts of contortions in order to redeem the miles. Basically going at the same time next year - 1/23-2/2.

How is work going? We are still pretty busy, and so is Bob. I'm heading to San Diego today for work - not a bad gig, I just have to deal with a bunch of landfill people, who are great, except they can drink even more than I can, and I can never keep up with them!

Hi judy! It's GREAT to hear from you! We've been busy as well. The weather has FINALLY started to improve. We needed that! We're not used to the snow & bitter temps & I can't handle it at all!! We were actually able to walk on the boardwalk yesterday & Todge went w/our pup for a walk on the beach today. It's not summer yet but a BIG improvement! We're headed "home" too! And for the same time as well. But w/the changes to Air JA, I'm not sure who we're flying. We should be there the Jan 23rd to the 4th. WOO HOO! We're still staying in the "old' section. Are you staying in the new? This MB makes the 'wait' a little easier & I enjoy reading your posts! Wishing you safe travels!! Keep in touch. Cindy

Hi Cindy - I'm in our Philly office this week. I can't believe how nasty the weather was on Monday, but it certainly looks fantastic for the rest of this week.

Believe it or not, I am actually leaning toward the old section on this next trip. We barely turned on the TV at all on this last trip. And I always think I'm going to soak in the bathtub, but I haven't done that since our first trip. We always talk about the beachfront suites. Do you think there enough storage space in the beachfront suites? We always bring extra hangers. Are the closets big enough? Is there a ceiling fan in the bedroom?

Who are you going to fly if not AJ? We are looking at airfares for our August trip (our anniversary is August 1), and I am in shock. $600 RT pp to Ft. Lauderdale on Jet Blue and USAirways (the Jet Blue is at least a direct flight from Buffalo, but c'mon). We payed $800 total RT for 2 last summer to Grand Cayman.

I can just picture you two on the boardwalk. Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy the warm weather this week! Take care. Judy

    Default long time between messages!

Hi Judy, So sorry I haven't responded lately! I just saw another great post written by you & had to jump in & say Hello! I have been "lurking" but wanted to answer your ?'s re: BFS. We love them! There are never enough hangers for all the clothes I take so YES, bring hangers! And YES to ceiling fan & No, we haven't booked our air fare yet. We've flown Air JA since the mid 80's & really like to fly from Balt/Wash. This year will be a different. Air Tran is supposed to be flying that route "non stop" & with a decent schedule but we can't can't book it yet. I guess it's too far out on their calender. So I'm not 100% "settled" if you know what I mean! I usually have every detail nailed down by mid March! SOON COME, right? We just opened our pool this week so I'm feeling a little more "IRIE" & the Tiki bar goes up soon. I already bought a couple bottles of Appleton Estates for the big day. I hope you & Bob are doing well & Life is good! I always look forward to reading the Message Board & your posts. Count us in for Jan 2011! Coming HOME on the 23rd!! See you there, Cindy

Hi Cindy - Did the Tiki Bar go up yet? I can't believe the warm weather that you guys have been getting lately. Have you made any decisions about airfare? I've flown Air Tran a few times and liked them a lot. They usually have a small first class that is not much extra to upgrade to.

That is good to hear about the BFS. I am a little nervous about switching room categories after all of these years, but I know how much you love the rooms. I see where all of the rooms will be getting mini-bars at CSA. That's good; I am so tired of hearing people whine about not having a mini-bar in their room on Trip Advisor.

I still haven't booked our summer vacation yet. The airfares are killing me and I used all of my frequent flyer miles on our Jamaica trips. I thought that this might be a good year to do a cruise (it kills me how much the price has gone up on cruises since last year) or go somewhere exotic, like Belize (I found a very nice condo on Ambergris Caye, but the airfare to Belize is really out there). I'm actually looking at doing a week at CSS. I want to do something different, but there's just something about Couples. *Sigh*

I hope that you both are doing well. Take Care!
