My boyfriend and I booked our trip back in January for this November with the beachfront suite rooms hoping and praying to get a first floor room with the wonderful porch. Now we see there is a new classification of Premier Beachfront Suites. The 360 view looks like the ones we want. Now I'm stressing that we're going to get stuck in an upper room by default because of the new classification.
The thing to do would be to contact CSA directly and ask them which version of suite you're supposed to get based on the new room category. We've had great success in the past with contacting them by e-mail and they're most helpful.
The new Premier Beachfront Suites are not all on the first floor but also the 2nd. The key is these are the Beachfront Suites with the wrap-around porch/balcony. The difference between them and the Beachfront Suites is that the latter are on the 2nd floor of the Beachfront buildings and have a small balcony where you can still see the ocean...just not as well and without the big porch/balcony.
We've stayed in both and, while we liked the "Premier" better were happy being a hop, skip and jump away from the ocean.
Hi Angela,
To clarify, you booked a BFS not a PBFS - right? The ones with the larger verandas are the PBFS. If you want one of those rooms you will need to upgrade your reservation. The PBFS buildings have 3 rooms in them. The ground floor and one of the 2nd floor rooms are PBFS rooms. The other room on the 2nd floor with the small balcony is in the Atrium room category.
I have stayed in both the ground floor and 2nd floor PBFS rooms and like them both very much.
If you can't get an upgrade from a BFS to a PBFS I wouldn't worry too much about it. You are still right on the beach and their patio/balconies are larger than most other resorts.
Enjoy!
