Thread: CTI November 2012

As I turned the page on the calendar to the new month, I realized that I had not looked at that calendar for a while. The last time I looked, the countdown number was at 179. That was on May 15. Today's number is 158. Not great but it is moving in the right direction.

I love countdowns

There is 165 days till I get married- and a short 36 hours later my husband and I will be on a plane to CTI. The last time I posted it was 197..

I find that if I don't live on these boards each day - the wait gets a little more bearable I am immersing myself in wedding plans, but in the back of my mind I just wish sometimes we could skip the wedding and just head for the beach! :-P

Britnee, I love your enthusiasm. I can feel your excitement. Not only are you getting married, but going to CTI is going to blow you two away.

Even though we have been to CTI 33 times, the excitement and enthusiasm is still there for us too. And the closer it gets to "D" day, departure, the more we are jumping up and down.
We just celebrated 45 years together. And for the past 17 years that we have been going to Jamaica, our lives have been enhanced a million times.

We are at 157 and going down. We leave CTI the day after you arrive. I'll let them know you're coming.

Ooh...to have you pave the way for us is probably one of the best honeymoon presents I could ask for - as you must be known by name to every person working and enjoying their stay! I do hope that maybe our paths will cross on your way out!!

And thanks - life is too short to be not excited and enjoy every day!!

Thanks for your email, Richie! I am sure once our wedding and "D" day draw near - I will email you with questions I might have. I can imagine you would be my best and quickest resource! And like I said - maybe our paths will cross our first night there. I bet I would just be able to start asking for Ritchie and everyone would point me your way

And that's very sweet of you! Our wedding date is 11-17-2012 at 5:00 p.m. Only 36 hours before we board the plane for Jamaica!

141 till I'm married and 143 till we are on a plane...whoop whoop!

I think recently I have stopped looking at my countdown as much cuz as we get closer to the wedding I realize how much I have left to do and pay for and I get just a tad stressed out. But we are going to make it!

How's everyone else's wait going? Anything happening in your lives where this break is going to be not a minute too soon?

Is anyone interested in doing the zip line tour on this trip? I've been wanting to do it for a while now, but I haven't been willing to give up a day off the island. This time I will. Who else?

We would LOVE to!! Unfortunately I think we will be missing it with you guys as we don't come until the day you are about to leave...boo! Well hopefully Trav and I will be able to do the zip line during our vacation!

I made a chain link countdown (like you used to do at Christmas time when you were a kid) when I first got engaged. I made 358 little construction paper chain links and put them up all around my house...probably to my fiance's dismay :-P Haha. Anyway - now we are down to 133...the chain gets shorter and I feel like I am running out of time to do everything. But that being said - a mere 133 days till i get married and 134 1/2 till I'm on a plane for my first real vacation...whoop whoop!

Anyway - just thought you may have needed a random stupid story for the day!

Loooooooooooooooooooooooong siiiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhgh.

Still 113 days to go. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Richie, are there any other New England folks out there going to CTI? If there are they could make there way down to our cozy partee coming up in September!

richie, just curious-do you always go in april and november? i'm asking bc i'm frantically trying to squeeze in one more couples trip before our new babe is born. i am looking at october, but if november is the time to go...? any insight would be appreciated!

Yes, we do go in November and April. This November we will be there 8-20. I would love to have you join us.

As we begin the month of August, it brings us that much closer to November, and it puts us in to double digits. It is when we start to have those, oh so familiar "stirrings" that begin to make their presence known. An awakening of sorts. Regardless of how long we may have been waiting, getting to the "pair" is when the excitement and anxiousness begins to creep in to each new day. And it continues to escalate as we get closer and closer to "Wlitm" We leave in the morning.

That's the moment that I am waiting for.

Oh. I'm sorry. That doesn't sound good at all. Keep us up to date if you can. After all, it's not as though you have to, forgive me, cancel . A slight postponement.

it's by no means a done deal, but my work told me i should not take off in sept or october. the baby is due in early jan, which pretty much leaves nov for a quick trip home. now we need to get adam's work to agree to him taking a week off during his peak season.
we may meet up yet!

I'm hoping you can make it Jenn. 8-20 Got some great surprises. In another week or two, my radar will start to pick up some old familiar feelings. Some of my "traveling companions" can be heard spinning their two little wheels and running their zippers back and forth. A sure sign of great things to come.

80 days and going down

ok richie, we unbelievably got the go ahead from both of our jobs and our son to travel the week of thanksgiving. i'm scrambling to find affordable airfare anywhere near us right now that doesn't require 24 hrs of travel each way!! we would like to travel the 16 or 17-24 or 25, but we will see. flying out the 19 seems to be the most affordable right now. bear in mind, we will most likely be booking a SR unless an amazing weds special comes out.
Adam and I keep laughing at how different i will look on the island this trip vs our last. big naked pregnant lady coming through! watch out!!

fyi, you should take rob and reeb off of the list, they said earlier they will be going in october instead

I thought that this list would have more people coming on board as it got closer to Nov. I was wrong. We'll all have a great time anyway.
