I am very new to this whole experience.. having never been out of the country or anywhere tropical! I've been doing some research and out of all of the resorts I have looked at, CTI seems to be my favorite. I love all the activities that are included and the pictures look amazing!! We are looking to be there in October for 5 or 7 nights(haven't decided yet). Can any of you give me any input on the pros/cons of this island and is it better to book now or wait??

My name is Bridget, I'm new to this whole experience, having never traveled anywhere out of the country before!! My fiance Justin & I are getting married in June and are looking to go on our honeymoon in October. I have been doing some research and out of all of the resorts I have looked at, CTI seems to be my absolute favorite... Can anyone give us some pros/cons of this resort? And should we book soon? - Bridget

I don't know of any cons! We were married there in 2006 and stayed for 2 weeks. We're back for 10 nights this time, wish we could stay longer, but we have a 2 year old now so it's hard to get away for that long.

Pros: the atmosphere, service, food and drinks are phenomenal, there is a lot you can do, so it's really up to you how busy you want to be, or you may find yourself glued to the resort. You are so relaxed, sometimes it's hard to want to do anything, other then drink and eat!

We went mid-September last time, and the weather was great. We had a water spout that we got on video which was really fun. I only remember it sprinkling a few times. It is hurricane season, but that's why we get insurance. The island is so small storms blow in and out quick.

You won't regret your choice in CTI! Let us know if we can answer any questions for you!

Cons? Leaving is tough...

My husband and i got married at cti oct 20th of last year and we would sooo love to go back every year to celebrate. However, i have a teenage daughter who would die if i left her behind again so this year we are taking a cruise. But next october it is on!!!!! We made great friends while we were there whom we have stayed in contact with and hope to plan our trip with next year!!! Its so far away but we both are soo excited to go back!! Jenn

Bridget and Justin the pro's to going to CTI is you will not regret it and just as soon as you book and give us your dates you can officially be added to the list. Go ahead and book, the prices will just get higher the longer you leave it. Also if you book directly with couples you can change your booking up to 46 days before you leave, especially good if they happen to have a good Wednesday special one week.

Persistence is the key, along with decent pics I suppose.

We decided to add another day to our trip so we could fly on Thursday instead of Friday. We will now arrive on the 6th rather than the 7th. Please update our info Deb (or Jas, I don't know which one of you is actually posting). Thanks! Btw, I have inserted a picture that Ernie took of Bob in Connecticut, in the snow. I am sure he (Bob) is looking forward to October as much as the rest of us.

I'm going to be at CTI October 17th to the 27th. And we're getting married there on Oct 22nd! So happy we have this thread started! And I hope to get to know some of you guys I'll be seeing there ahead of time! So excited. This is my first time doing an all inclusive and I have to say, I think we made an awesome choice!
