Hey guys - first timers here!

I'm surprising the wife with this little trip for her birthday that just passed (05/22) She still doesn't know anything and I'm not telling her until our drive to the airport next week!! Hopefully everything works out for the best - between the reviews on Trip Advisor and all the reviews/comments here I'm sure we're going to have a blast... Never did the whole AN thing before, I'm a little nervous but definately up for new experiences (especially being far away from home) but I don't know if the wife will be up for it.... I guess we shall see.... never the less - Looking forward to our trip!!!!

We'll be there from the 4th through the 9th - hopefully we'll get to meet some new people and make some new friends while we're there!

Tony (32) & Toni (45) - yes really... both our names are Tony(i) - Easy to remember, and impossible to screw up lol

Welcome Tony & Toni. We are friends with a couple here in Tulsa named Tony & Toni! But they are older than you. You really should try the island - promise you won't regret it!

We are!!! It's almost Island time!!!

Toni and Tony!!! Welcome!!! I promise, the island isn't something you will regret! I can share my story with you any time. If I can go to the island, anyone can. I still keep a towel wrapped around me in my bathroom as soon as I get out of the shower, but at the island.... it is all natural! Glad I didn't wait until my last day at the resort two years ago when I went. Was intimidated, but no problems now.

My husband, Jonathan, and I will be there from this Saturday to the following Sunday! We will be celebrating our 4th anniversary!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Im going to try and persuade the wife to give it a shot...

I'm really torn because a part of me wants to tell her about the trip now, this way we can be excited about the trip together and maybe start to talk about heading to the island ... however I've put a lot of work into this whole big birthday surprise... between booking it, making sure the kids were ok, getting her time away from work approved, and packing for her..... so a big part of me wants to keep this a secret this was she'll be blown away when we get to the airport....

What do you guys think? Tell her or don't tell her??

My wife has a habit of making a BIG deal about her birthday.. so since I knew I had this Ace up my sleeve I downplayed her birthday as much as possible so if/when you see us out there please wish her a happy birthday!!

Can't wait for our maiden voyage to CTI!!!!

How about you tell her you are taking her somewhere, but don't tell her exactly where - but let kind of go through the suitcase and make sure she likes what you've packed!! I mean, my husband is incredible in every way but I cannot imagine him choosing my clothes for a week at couples. Makes me giggle just thinking about it! Of course since you did the packing you could just leave out her swimsuits and she'd HAVE to go to the island. Ha ha!!

lol... I don't know about that (forgetting the swim suits) but hopefully I can persuade her to at least check out the island... even if its just for 30 min in the morning... who knows maybe she'll like it!

I know her well enough that I should be ok - and plus Im banking on the fact that she'll be so blown away by the surprise that even if I do forget something hopefully it wont matter lol...

Since her birthday just passed - I told the family (they know of the surprise) to buy her some new bathing suits/cover ups/sundresses and she loved them all so I'm going to pack some of the new stuff plus a couple of her favorite bathing suits...

Can't Wait - T-Minus 72 hours....

Melissa and I will be arriving 6/22 staying until 6/29. We are looking forward to our wedding on the 26th and are hoping to meet other first-timers as well as repeaters. Anyone else going to be there?

She definately LOVED it - and we will definately be returning next year - just not sure of when
