It's been so long since I've logged on here. All my time is with my April Amigos Facebook. Right after we got back from CTI last year we extended our trip by 1 night. Keith and I will be there 8 nights now, 4/13-4/21.

It is with a very sad heart that I must remove two names from the April Amigos list for the upcoming trip. Two people that I will value as friends no matter where they may be. For personal reasons Bruce and Kelli will not be with us in April. I am very sad, but I know that they are also sad. They must do what is right for them. You will be sorely missed.

You beat me to it, Richie. For those Amigos we've yet to meet, and those who we're not connected with on Facebook:

Well dear Amigos, Kelli and I decided to cancel our trip this year. It was a hard decision, of course, but one that we are completely content with. To be perfectly honest, when we left CTI in 2011, we both agreed it wasn't the CTI we fell in love with in 2009. I know some agree and some don't, but in our minds, it's not the trip we're hoping to experience right now. It will be hard not seeing our dearest friends in the world (the ones that are still returning), and it will be hard not seeing the staff that we've grown so close to (the ones that are still there.) Add in the highest airfare we've ever seen, and we just really started to question the value of this year's vacation. Other factors came in to play, as well. Financially things are looking very good for once, so we're close to being in a position that will open up lots of other opportunities. We really want to take advantage of those now - Jamaica and Couples will be there for a while.

We're not sure what the future holds for us. Maybe we'll return to CTI soon, maybe another Couples, but more likely we're going to venture out and try the non-AI thing back in Negril. And as we mentioned before, a big trip with the kiddos to Costa Rica is really high on our list of priorities now, too. So, lots of unknowns...

Please know we'll be there in spirit as always. One day, somehow, our paths will all cross again. Maybe in Jamaica, maybe stateside, but as Amigos, we'll find a way.

Hi Amigos Heard there was alot of storm damage (Sandy) to the Ochos Rios area. Was wondering if Couples was affected at all?

We live in NJ but we are flying out of Philadelphia..we are getting married on the 13th and it will just be the 2 of us :-)

With just 73 days left to wait out the cold and snow here in the Boston area, I thought I would warm things up a bit with plans I have for TI.

There will, of course, be Silly Hat Day. For those that have no idea what that is, I'll explain. All you need to do is be on the island the day this event takes place. I'll announce it the day before. Then, wearing your best smile, I will hand out some great looking hats for free. There will be no problem with wearing them while on the island, even though we all know that no clothes are to be worn out there. No problem. And at the end of the day, if you no longer wish to wear your hat, give them to the staff. They love them. This event was started by friends of ours almost 18 years ago. It's become tradition.

There also will be Funny ball day. I know what your thinking. Don't even go there. But don't miss that day.

Another tradition that I have started is a Scavenger Hunt. Everything on the list can be found around the property at CTI. More information when that day comes up.

Once again this year, I am bringing kites. We flew them while on the island for the past couple of years. I will take back the kites so that next year they will be there again.

One more contest. It's called Nude wedding day. What would you wear to a nude wedding? Be inventive and creative. There are no rules, so if you want to buy things that you think will add to the day, by all means do so.

There will be prizes for the scavenger hunt and nude wedding day. Plus a few other surprise while we're there.
Also, if there are some newlyweds that will be there, try and let me know as soon as you can.

Looking forward to two fantastic weeks at CTI in April.

Hi Crabracer! We will be arriving on Apr 8 - celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, coming with 2 other couples who are also celebrating wedding anniversaries- can't wait for Nude Wedding Day! This will be our 3rd time at CTI. Which day is which event?

Hola Amigos! Juell and Andy here. Bruce and Kelli orignally got us interested in the island in 2010 and we are just now returning this year (had a baby). Please keep a look out for us. As Bruce stated earlier in the thread, we are the young'ns. Can't wait to feel that ocean breeze and make some new friends!

Some of the original members of the April Amigos, will not be joining us this year. They have found new love at CN. Some of them had been there before. I know that they, like us, will have a fabulous time.
I think it's safe to speak for the Amigos that will be at CTI, when I say that, we who remain salute you. And you will be missed. We shall refer to you as the "West Side April Amigo"

That being said, this years list for April is the longest I have seen in some time. And you will all, automatically, become part of the new April Amigos. I am so looking forward to it.
