Meg & Bill Tied de Knot - CN, June 12, 2010
Since we returned home from our beautiful wedding and honeymoon, I just can't stop looking at our wedding pictures and video - everything was so gorgeous and carefree!
Both Debbie Hall and Kenisha at CN made the planning process so easy for our noon wedding on the beach. We had a large group of 44 attending the wedding and staying at the resort, but everyone at CN was so accommodating so the group size was never an issue.
The majority of our guests arrived Thursday so our first "activity" was the beach buffet and bonfire Thursday night. "The Thunderbirds" provided the entertainment - the most fabulous steel drum band you will ever see!
Friday night we held our "rehearsal dinner" at The Heliconia Grill. Tyrone was our maitre d and was beyond accommodating and helpful.
My bridesmaids, my mom, and I all had hair, makeup, and nail appointments at the salon -- Novlette was absolutely wonderful and did a beautiful job.
Our ceremony was held at noon on the beach. I had made raffia fans decorated with green & pink ribbons to help with the heat. We also requested that the resort have bottles of cold water available for the guests.
We decided to forgo the cake & champagne reception in the garden after the ceremony in favor of more time for wedding photos (the latest we could have lunch with our large group was 1:30pm). Following the ceremony, our guests were escorted to the pool & grill bars while the fabulous Stacey Clarke took our wedding photos. We had a group lunch at Cassava Terrace (where Davon even gave us a very nice toast!), after which we had our cake served to us and we made our champagne toasts in the restaurant. At 4pm, the entire group embarked on the catamaran cruise - I changed into a white bathing suit and a veil and my husband and I "took the plunge" by jumping off the side of the boat!
I have attached a few photos here. If you're interested in seeing all of them (or our video from the resort videographer), you can view them on our share site: http://megandbillfeeser.shutterfly.com/, password: jamaica. I definitely recommend both Stacey Clarke and the resort videographer - they both did a beautiful job.
And finally, if you're considering trashing the dress - DO IT! The pictures are gorgeous! We got in the pool after the ocean to help get off some of the sand... and the dress is at the cleaners now!
