For all who may grieve
We have a very good friend that we met back in 1996, at COR, who lost his wife about a year ago. It was very sudden and unexpected. He is just now beginning to come out of his shell, and with the help of excellent therapy, and a great support group, given a bit more time, he will be okay.
I mention this because the other day, we got one of those "end of year" letters from Kenny. You know, the ones. One big mass mailing. As part of the letter, he included the following excerpt taken from a Jewish book of prayer. I hope that this can bring comfort to all who have lost someone this past year. They will not be forgotten.
We remember them
In the rising of the sun and its going down, We remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.
In the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, We remember them.
In the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, We remember them.
In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, We remember them.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, We remember them.
When we are lost and sick of heart, We remember them.
When we have joys and special celebrations, we yearn to share, We remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are part of us. We remember them.
peace love respect
