The island-wide jet ski ban has been lifted as of Friday July 18.

Article on Couples' donation in the paper.
With a picture of Kemar!!
Nice job Couples.

Here is the specific page showing (incorrectly I believe) the repeater dinner to be at Otaheite, to which I presume SuzyQ was referring:
the website may well show that, but the repeater dinner has been moved to Lychee for the past few years (unless space/weather allows outdoor seating).
In our experience it has always been on...

We see some pictures on Couples' FB that show a banner with:
"Couples Negril 2012-2013 Staff Awards, Rewarding Excellence".
(Kind of hard to find b/c they are buried in with many other photos).

I just noticed MicelleG's signature "On-Island Social Media Coordinator".
I didn't realize we had one. Belated Welcome (from a few weeks ago, I guess).
FWIW - I don't see the "On-Island Social...
And to add to G&P's list (well, the Yannick part as the other 3 are presumably the former ET coordinators), here are other former CN bar/dining staff that some guest may recall:

We've seen the BG go from calling out guest's names to buzzers, to calling out the number on laminated cards handed out, back to buzzers, back to cards, back to buzzers. Not really sure why they...
Oh my. We had a somewhat similar experience recently at CN (repeater went to management to complain what an Entertainment Coordinator was _not_ doing). Later were told there are "good repeaters" and...
While CN's shuttle does take you to Pushcart Restaurant & Rum Bar (at Rockhouse Resort), or it did a couple of years ago for us anyway, I don't think that picture is of Pushcart.
Anyone that has been to CN recently (as in past 2 weeks or so), was the "original" Office Of Nature there?
Read a post that indicated activity on that sole remaining section of undeveloped beach...
Returned a bit over a week ago and confirm the new keys at CN as stated above.
An additional tip/consideration: If you are granted an extended checkout (we left CN much later than most), the...
We returned recently from CN and had no problem getting dirty martinis (though like kandl, ours were usually gin).
I have had experience in the past where olives or Bombay may be temporarily...
At CN recently the packages/price varied by # of photos and included: photos on CD, printed photos (don't know the size), and a picture frame.
The package offer changed during our stay b/c of a...
As a sad/tragic reminder occurred last week, I'll stand by my plea.
Please, "Look out for the jet skis, particularly at CN or CSA."
Yes, jet skis are now temporarily banned in Negril, but it is...
"Pirates Cove" throws me as it sounds similar to "Pirates Cave" (former name of area way down by Rockhouse), but if you mean what others call Rutland Point (area on south end of Bloody Bay with a few...
Suzi that first picture is very sad.
And I don't mean the cat. I mean the goodbye/comment survey that appears to be in the background.
Have seen and used windsurfers at both CN and CSS.
CN has/had about 6 to 8 sails of various size to select from and same with boards.
Common, good, advice is to go as early as you can in the AM...

Actually, although there are legal ways to operate jet skis, according to recent media reports, the vast majority (90%) are illegal.
Hotel operators on the island, and in Negril in particular,...
Couples has, in fact, had the group package for years. The "Contracted Groups" offer (every 11th room free), or something very similar has been available (as well as the "grouples debate") for at...
Perhaps Menard? He was a tall guy on E.T. that left around March 2013 I think.
I think we were told Nellie would be back in a month or so (we were there early Sept.)
October 15th, 2013, 12:19 PM
we got a peek at them in early Sept. and wrote about it here:
(Sept. 12th post).
I wouldn't bet...
In early September this year the staff listed was:
