    resort cats

I'm kind of a catamaran snob, and have to say that sailing at CSS in January was "satisfying," but just OK. They use the 13 foot Hobie "Wave," which are fun, and super-easy to sail, boats but not...

I found the scuba guys to be really reassuring and patient, and you can always opt out at any time.

Yes- you could wear your contacts. I have glasses, so bought a "diopter appropriate" mask...

No- they reserve that stuff for the official snorkeling trips that they take boats out to; you can't just "check it out" for the day.

    AN snorkeling

At CSS, we brought our own equipment and went off the beach, to the end of the peninsula. Once we got past the cooler river water, it was nice!

    gluten sensitivity

My wife sounds exactly how you describe yourself- we were there last January, and there were always plenty of options for her to choose from. No gluten-free bread specifically, though. Some of the...

They do- 2 kinds, one off-brand, and one Coppertone. They run about $14 or $16 a bottle (I think 7 oz- the big size). In January, they didn't have aerosol, just lotion.

We did, lots of times. It was really nice grabbing a drink at the bar (plastic cup) and going over for a soak and watching the stars.

There's really no need. On SS beach there are probably 7-8 palapas, and a giant shade tree if all those are taken (on our week, there was always an open palapa somewhere, no matter what time). ...

    snorkeling off SSB

We just got back yesterday, and went snorkeling several times off SSB. The rocks and reefs are definitely not AS spectacular as those on the snorkeling trip, but were definitely worth it for us,...

this time- balcony/ veranda question! (CSS)

Thanks, everybody- I guess we could have found the "resort map" on the website to see for ourselves.

OK- one more question! We THINK we like the Penthouse Suite balconies best, and somehow- the...

    Hi all-

Sorry if this has been asked already- are there better rooms to reserve at CSS if you want to be close to the AN beach or pool? Just wanting to maximize the naked time!
