Not trying to beat a dead horse, however, as per the 3 good reasons why Couple's have a NO tipping policy, would that not include NO gifts?

We always have a small sunscreen in our carry-on! Just buy a "travel size" bottle, and refill from the one you have in your "checked luggage".

What a wonderful thread!
We absolutely love CSS and the whole "experience" of being at the Couples Resorts' brand. We're looking forward to our 5th visit, but here are some of our top favourite...
We're over-researchers too... reading everything we can about a resort for a year or more, before we book, convinced that when we go we'll be quite well-prepared to handle any...
So sad to see a Guest upset... however, you do realize that a gift is just that... a gift... that really should be accepted graciously... whether needed or not... :)
Also, here is the Couples...
The resort brand "Couples" have a particularly strict policy of "no tipping" at their four resorts. It has often been described as a well orchestrated play, where the main "actors" on stage...

Totally agree with Artie and GoNegril.
We've seen displays like that on CruiseShips... little lights... coloured lights... plastic blown up PalmTrees... where would it end? Definitely not the Classy...
