Default Mayfield Falls & river walk

We're planning to do this trip from CN in April

Can anyone give us any tips that they wish they had known before they did it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Wear your water shoes, if you have them (if you don't they will rent you some). Bring a little tipping money for the river guides--they are awesome and live on tips. Bring a little extra cash and try some of the yummy homemade Jamaican snacks at the entrance. They may look different to you but they are delicious and refreshing. Enjoy!

Bring an old pair of tennis shoes or comfortable pair of water socks. I knew this going in... and glad I grabbed the old tennies.... just left them behind when we left the resort....

    Enjoy...

Great - thanks for all the tips

1 question: do we wear our water shoes for the walk or need trainers/tennis shoes too?

    Thanks in advance.
