Default Is beach front REALLY beach front

I have been really searching for pictures of these rooms, and not have come across anything I like. When we booked Beach Front, I thought that's what it meant (at least it is at every other resort I have stayed in. We switched our room from Ocean View to Beach Front with hopes to dismay the confusion, but it seems that's still the case. Does anyone have pictures, or can help decrease my anxiety.
I wouldn't usually care, but this is my wedding/honeymoon. I don't want to be disappointed.

We were in Bldg 8 which is "oceanview". The attached photos show the view from our balcony. We were only 75 yards from the beach. I don't know if being 25-50 yards closer is going to be a whole lot better.

Attachment 9826No, beachfront is not completely looking right onto the beach. The rooms are set at an angle and you look directly at the center of the resort which is very beautiful. To see the ocean, you have to lean to the left or right of your porch. Here is a picture of our view to the side.

Thank you for your pictures. However, I doesn't really make it any better. Just one of the those things I will have to get over! I'm sure I will have a blast anyway. I just feel like it's really bad advertising, especially BeachFRONT... not side, and the partial view really makes me nervous.

The description on the deluxe beach front rooms states specifically "partial views" so that shouldn't be a surprise. On the beachfront suites, they actually step right out or face the beach directly, not necessarily the ocean (or bay) but right onto the sand. The view is wonderful, no matter where you are and you really WON'T spend that much time in the room. We usually do like to go back and relax for a while on most vacations but found at CN that we don't go back. We spend a lot more time out and about. Too much to do or just too much relaxing somewhere other than the room. You will be FINE!

My husband and I stayed in a deluxe beachfront room last August for our honeymoon and if I looked down to the ground from our balcony it was sand, which to me equals beach. how much closer to the beach do you need to be? In the water?? The beachfront rooms and suites are in the buildings closest to the beach. Did you look at a map of the resort? It clearly shows that all buildings are on an angle.

tiffersfrye- I agree with you. I don't think they should even call these rooms beachfront. They are the exact rooms as the garden rooms and they are very close together. The beachfront rooms and garden rooms are GREAT rooms-great Jamaican feel. We always now get a garden room.We stay on the beach all day and every room is just a few steps away anyway. We LOVE THIS PLACE. We are going back for trip #7. Enough said.

Not a great representation, but beachfront to us meant about 2 steps off our balcony to sand, or about 15-20 steps from our room to the actual "beach" where the beach chairs and bar were.

Twin6mike's pictures may cause confusion to tiffersfrye (and others) as I'm fairly certain they are of CSA, not CN. (and this being a thread on the CN meetup forum).

The pictures from Janicek and Jimnmariann are from CN and are on the block 6 to 9 side of the resort. The other side, blocks 1 to 5, also has "beachfront" rooms and the view is similar but a bit different. If you're still feeling anxious and have time, you could search this message board for "block 5" or "building 5" and find threads that have pictures from that side.

Yes, we were in Bldg 8. I guess it depends on which "beach" you want to be close to.

Some of the rooms, but not many, have a great view of the water and beach. I can attest, as I just got back. My room was 6202. This means it was building 6, floor 2, and the second room from the front (the end of the building that is closest to the beach). From inside our room looking out, it was not a full-on direct view of the ocean, but you could see lots of beach, and lots of water, looking approx southwest toward the tip of land where the old Grand Lido is. If I went out on the balcony, I had an awesome ocean view. And there is sand underneath the room. To get to the beach, I simply walked walked down a flight of stairs, and I was on the beach. It's a wide beach though, so it takes a few more steps until you're at the water. I booked a "deluxe beachfront room" and I was not disappointed !

Beachfront means exactly that beachfront, so when I lookout my patio I don't want to see wonderful, beautiful, trees, etc. I would assume if I'm paying for a "beachfront" room I would be looking at the beautiful blue ocean. The sarcasm is not needed nor do I find necessary.

Thank you for all the photos too. I think that when they say some rooms have partial views, they should simply say, they all have partial views. Since that is really what it looks like unless you have a suite.

Again, thanks for all your input.

    Cheers!
