Aha -- So Sir Mayhem is alive and well and ready for another great adventure!! Good to hear from you all. Perhaps the Goddess could provide us all with a refresher lesson on the proper way to toss and land a ring -- I know I am very rusty, but nothing that a bit of aiming fluid won't take care of.

Alley-oops, hmmm... I think I'll bring a few pairs of Air Jordans this year can you immagine if we could get six more inches of vertical leap out of those women!

So King -- if a crusade was undertaken and we were to sail to the far side to this mythical remote island and we were fortunate enough to spy your tower of captivity exactly what should we be looking for or expect to sight??

DudeMon, I bet the women also imagine if they could get six more inches out of us men.

As far as your crusade goes, you know you have found the right place if you see this...

Are yall still wanting to go to the school with us? Mark and I are trying to get our plans fixed up. I'll email the driver and see what rates look like this year.

We're also trying to decide if we want to do TimAir from MoBay to CN or on the transfer from CN to COR....(dang, CTI --- just can't get used to it...)
Snow finally melted when the torential rains came and flooded our basement...ugh.. Temps in the teens (wind chills in the negatory digits!) is making time tick sooooo slooooow!

We do want to do the school thing still - what should we bring? Like pencils and notepads? What else?

Shouldn't be too hard to spot a large group of crazy canucks! I'm not really sure what the quest for the king is but knowing this crowd, there are massive amounts of beverages surrounding such a quest!! FIFTY EIGHT DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!! brrr....

Jerzzgirl -- the DudeMon says "take er easy there" dont worry you'll get to the other side of that nasty bit of weather and then.... you'll wake up and find yourself with a frosty drink in your hand, laid out on a lounge chair, squinting in the bright, warm sun trying to remember the last time you started drinking at 9:30 in the morning (which would be exactly a year ago). You're almost there!!!

Last year we lauched a quest with a long afternoon of Salty Dogs! Very light on the grapefruit juice and heavy on the Dog part. Anybody from the merry band of merciless, mercinary maniacs remember that day/night? Pictures anyone??

Deputy and Mrs. Deputy (Dan and Cathy) are travelling with Crazy Canuck. We can't wait to get back to Jamaica...last time we were there was almost 25 years ago on our honeymoon. We'll be ready to soak up the sun and party hard.

Default I think I found the king!

So there I was, looking thru my pics from CN back in March of last year, when something suspicious showed up... Not sure if it was a body double planted to throw us off the track or if, indeed, this was an actual sighting!

Beachwed - Looks like we'll be there most of the time you are. We actually fly in on the 12th and depart on the 20th. We would love to take a ride to the school if you and Mark are doing that again next year. So Rhonda, let me know what we should bring for the kids if you guys are going - we'd love to help out!
My husband and I will be there March14-21 and would like to know about what to bring for the school children. We sure would like to go to the school and see the children and give them school supplies. Could you please let me know what it is we need to get. Thanks for any info

Jerzzgirl - Not sure who that fellow is in your picture, but it surely couldn't be the King ... out in public without the proper adornment on his head? So, your post inspired me to search through my pictures to see if I might have accidentally caught a glimpse of him, and look what I found ... this must be him, as he is helping his followers onto the Booze Cruise ... wearing the customary Royal Blue/Grey Royal Toque...

Dudemon, I think you got us moonies all figured out. I'll see you on the dark side of the moon!

By the way...here is a shot of the salty dog day afternoon. It looks like Blonde Hawaiian might be blowing chunks there.

jerzzgirl...please don't tell me you are just another paparazzi looking for your moment in the spotlight! How could you? After all those late nights discussing the state of the kingdom over drinks and cubans? All I can say is this...Have you checked the chickies lately? MuHaHaHaHa

Mayhem...great find! After reviewing the pic, it appears that the Royal Blue/Grey Royal Toqued gentleman is totally disregarding the crowned King in order to give his full attention to the next person in line. Who could that individual possibly be who commands such deference and service? My Secret Service immediately initiated a full and complete investigation and were able to uncover the identity of this mysterious creature ....

Hopefully you can see the pics of Sandy Bay Basic School, which is where Mark and I visit each year. While we do contribute to the ISSA Trust Foundation (established by Couples)...it is such a heartwarming experience to actually go out to the schools, and visit with the kids - they do so much with so little! All the children love to show off their schoolwork and the teacher (I can NEVER remember her name, and in three years, have yet to think to write it down! duh) is very appreciative of any goodies we may bring...
We would love to have anyone join us... although we are still in a debate on whether to make a special trip while at CN or just stop by on our private transfer over to CTI. I will keep everyone posted, and really for the most part the driver we use is very flexible and can work it out for us while there. Seems like last year we took a partial day and went over (bout a 50 min. ride)to the school, we also stopped at a couple of neat "non-touristy" sites along the way.... Don't remember exactly what we paid, seems like 25-30 bucks (do you remember Kerry?!)
As to what to bring, I usually pick up school supplies during the sales in the fall (pronged folders, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, etc - anything that's relatively lightweight and packable) and also everytime I'm in Target I swing through both little girls and little boys sections to scan the clearance racks (found a 10 pack of undies for 2.81 last week) They seem to appreciate socks and undies (as the kids are as young as 4/5, they sometimes have accidents and the school keeps spares). We've taken colorful barrettes, candies, etc... one year I found a sale on those foam visors that you can decorate and took 60 of them...a few nice things for the teachers too..

Whew... okay that's Rhondas book on the school visit! LOL
