    Default Heliconia

OK this is the last time I'm going to ask & if someone doesn't answer I'm going to throw a hissy fit......
What's on the NEW menu at Heliconia. I used to love the Italian theme. I love eating out on the porch so much but I don't want to go hungry (yeah like that's going to happen at Couples)

We're just back from CN and Heliconia was one of our favorite places to eat. The menu is definitely still Italian/Mediterranean. I don't remember the whole menu, but I had the Beef Carpaccio appetizer and it was EXCELLENT! My wife had the antipasti platter and loved it as well. The soup was a bean and pasta soup and also very good. They had lemon chicken, salmon with lime butter sauce, and a pasta dish or two for entrees. We had the salmon and chicken and both were very, very good. We also went there for lobster night on Friday and it had to be some of the best lobster I've ever eaten. I also recommend the Irish Coffee as a perfect way to end the meal. Don't worry, you won't be disappointed (or hungry) at the Heliconia.

Well we wouldn't want that. Here are the Sun-Mon & Tue-Wed menus from September of this year. There are also desserts of course.
Think we have the Thu-Fri menu somewhere - will look later.

The rack of lamb was so tender and yummy. We actually liked Heloconia and ate there twice. The steak was just okay after having the beef tenderloin at O. Didn't care much for their desserts and ended up at the Terrace to enjoy with a coffee and some good live entertainment.

And as Smokedmarlin said, they also had Salmon on the menu one night. We just went a couple weeks ago. The salmon and the lobster were just incredible. The Heliconia was one of our favorite places to eat.

The only entree I would not order again is the Grilled Strip Loin. It was tasty, be very very tough to cut and to eat. I actually had to ask for a sharper steak knife because the one they gave me was too dull to cut it. I imagine the same steak is much better at other times, maybe I just got a bad one. Even so though there are so many other good things on the menu that I will probably still avoid it next trip. We ate there two other times during our last visit and everything was excellent.

Its always been our favorite restaurant for service ambiance food etc etc, and this year as I have stated in other posts the food thru out the resort was definitely pushed up a notch, it wasn't good it was superb!!!!
