    Default Amazing...

We were at the MB Lounge in October. It was well worth the $30. Actually we bargained with them and got in for $25 each (shhhh). They whisk you to a "special line" with no wait. They take you through security. Then they walk you to the elevator and into the lounge.

Drinks, sandwiches, snacks are included in the price. The bloody mary's rocked!!! Just remember, you are not at the Resort anymore so tipping IS allowed!!! They also have WiFi and big screen TV's.

I hope the Lounge is around for a LONG time!!! Can't wait to go back home in October!!!

    Roxxstar,

Did you purchase tickets once back at the airport or did you prepay? If you got them once back at the airport where do you go to purchase them? This sounds great. Did you have checked bags? We usually take one bag that we check. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for sharing this! Do you know if you can buy tickets in advance? If not; where do you go when you check in at the airport to buy these passes?

Do you reserve and pay for the MB lounge in advance of the trip, or is it simplier to do it when you arrive? We are very interested....

You can buy them right at Couples....and you check your bags with the airline BEFORE you go to the Club

You can buy tickets at the resort, but I think next year if we are considering it, we may wait until we get to the airport. It wasn't busy at security, so it saved us no time, the snacks were "picked over" and we didn't know until it was time for us to go that you could order from the restaurants in the airport and they would deliver.

Free beer, clean restroom is pretty decent. Besides, you aren't in the arrival lounge for more than a few minutes. For departure, you have to be at the airport a few hours before departure.

    Default A Must

We will be building the Mobay Lounge into our budget for all future trips. We purchased tickets at the airport. The ticket counter is directly next to the doorway into Security. When you purchase at the airport, they send a person all the way through Customs and Security with you. Our guide even helped us put our carry-ons and laptop on the conveyer belt. So nice! The food is snacks but drinks are bottomless and free. The $60 was worth it for what we would have bought at one of the restaurants. The bathrooms were spotless. The wait staff were so nice!! There was even a spa with manicures, pedicures, massage. We flew on a Sunday and had our own big screen tv (for football) and couch to ourselves.

Non smoking. I think they have a smoking area in the airport but I am not a smoker, so I don't know where it is.

So if you get your lounge pass at Couples before you leave, do you get the same escort through the airport like you mention here that you enjoyed after buying your passes at the airport? This is so worth the money!

We bought ours at CTI. After we checked in with the airline we walked over to the "Lounge" kiosk right by the security entrance and showed our tickets. From there, they escorted us through immigration and then security. Honestly, there were not a lot of people in security, so I am not sure it saved us a lot of time as you through the handicap check and there was some one in a wheelchair ahead of us. From there they directed, not escorted, us to the elevator to take us to the lower level where we checked in and gave our information. We went in had some drinks, pastries and played on our computers. Before we left, they brought out what was the equivalent of finger sandwiches. Definitely nothing to hold us over until our destination. What we found out as we were leaving was that we could order and pay for food from a restaurant. Will we do it again? Probably not. Like I said, security and immigration were a breeze for the time we were there. Now if we arrive and it's all backed up, we just may step up the kiosk and purchase tickets at that time. Depends, we probably spent about $20 more than if we had eaten in Cool Runnings and like I said, immigration and security were a breeze.

    Sun_princess,

When our escort took us through security, other people were right next to us with Lounge passes that they had bought on resort. They did not get a personal escort, but they did get the advantage of the VIP fast line. After having dealt with overzealous groping security in years past, this was worth it for us. Who knows - we may have lucked out and gotten an escort because the ladies were just bored No complaints from us.

No this is extra, what ever the menu charge is. This will be delivered to you in the lounge. The $30 is for the security & immigration quick line, drinks and snacks. Here is link to an article on the lounge http://www.incentivetravel.co.uk/air...rt-montego-bay Just a note, there will be children there. Also there are reviews on Tripadvisor.

Last time I looked, Costco Travel offers passes to the new MBJ lounge when you book your stay at Couples through them. Sounds like it's a worthwhile bonus.

If you are travelling business class to J then you will find that the cost of the mobay Club lounge shouldbe all included and there is no need to pay the extra $30 a head. FYI, you can order food from the various restaurants in the airport but this is not free. There are plenty of menus on each of the tables so this is quite clear when you get in there (there are prices on the menus!).

My wife and I found the experience very welcome, so go and enjoy. Fill yer boots.

Business or first class free access to the lounge depends on which airline you are flying on. For example Delta does not have access.

From what I've read, I like the process and lounge idea. My question is, can I still do some duty free shopping or is the lounge sort of closed off and away from these shopes? Fisrt time to Jamaica in a couple of months and I want to make the most of it. Not sure if I can get some BM Coffee while at the resort, so the airport option is one I'd like to stiil consider, and if I can use the lounge too, that'd be a bonus.

Does this allow you to get into a "fast lane" through the luggage check? We were in that line for over an hour
during our last trip and barely had time to shop at the airport. I'll do anything to avoid this in the future!

You can still shop even if you use the lounge. It really depends on how much time you from check at your airline until departure. We picked up a couple of bottles of rum before we went down to the lounge.
