Default Which resort has most outdoor dining, steel bands....romantic feel?

My husband and I went to CSA a few years ago and found the beach very nice, food good and surroundings lush and pretty. My only complaint was I felt a little 'lost' at night; there didn't seem to be much going on and since the resort was reletively sprawling, walking through the resorts winding trails at nite felt a little 'dead'. We're definitely not party types but it was sooooo quiet.

I was wondering if any of the other 3 resorts feel a little more intimate at night in terms of steel drums bands playing & maybe outside dancing? We also enjoy dining outside. as much as possible for either an elegant dinner or casual lunch. Is there another resort that seems to offer what I'm describing a bit more than CSA?

By the way, CSS looks very pretty, but I am concerned about the beach. Is the area big enough to at least offer hobie cats like the other resorts?

Just back from a CSS/CSA split ( fourth stay at CSA).
I was shocked how social CSS is as a resort. The balloon bar is actually a mostly outdoor bar ( which I did not realize until I arrived). The inside portion of the bar has a small seating area, however, the main seating area and the entertainment is actually outside. So everyone was dancing under the stars, which I loved. The casino night, which is also fun, also took place outside of the balloon bar.
CSS also has 2 swim up bars, one in the au natural area, and one on the main beach, and both are a social gathering place.
Also, the beach grill at night becomes a nice restaurant- Bella Vista. At Bella Vista, you meal is served right on the beach, literally steps from the ocean ( you get a beach dinner for free !). CSS is a smaller resort, so there are 3 restaurants at night, 2 which offer very nice outdoor dining. The breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant- Pallizina has indoor and outdoor dining. The beachgrill/ bella vista has outdoor only dining, and Casanova is indoor only ( dinner only restaurant).
Also, yes with the exception of the catamaran cruise, CSS offers the same water sports, including hobie cats as CSA .

I agree with you about CSA. Although we loved it, too many things were indoors. At CSS you can be outside all the time. You can dine under the stars every night in all of the restaurants. The bars are open air and not air conditioned, and the entertainment is outside under the stars as well. Its not that hopping, but they do have band/singers that perform outside in a very romantic setting, with tables set up for you to enjoy a drink while you watch, or dance. That is what we love about CSS the most.

Schwieso, unless Casonova has changed in the last year it also offers outside dining. We have taken it many times. (we prefer outside). They set you up on the tables outside of the lounge. and if it is raining, they set you up in the lounge. It is really quite nice, so all the restaurants offer outside dining at CSS.

Just back, and no they did not have tables set up outside for dining, only inside. Maybe a low season thing.
