Default Tropical Storm Sandy and Couples Hurricane Policy

    Greetings to all:

While it is borderline as to whether or not Tropical Storm Sandy will actually turn into a Hurricane, the path of the storm places Jamaica within the 5 day Cone of Influence. As such we have decided to enact our Hurricane Policy. Scroll down on this link to read our policy and be guided accordingly.

    Thanks Randymon for posting this.

We are scheduled to arrive on Sunday and have every intention to be there as scheduled. So we would greatly appreciate if you would also post whether there has been any significant damage to any of the resorts after Sandy passes through on Wednesday. If necessary, we will be flexible to switch resorts so that we can safely enjoy the vacation we so badly need.

Oy. Probably one of the last storms of the season and it has to put Jamaica dead in it's site.

Praying for the best outcome possible for the situation now faced by the people of Jamaica.

    Hang on folks.

Thanks to Couples for the quick posting, seeing that early yesterday morning, I was able to quickly check with our airline and found out they had just posted their change policy for all flights to Montego Bay. I was able to change our flights to Friday, since US Airways canceled Wednesday & Thursday flights and Couples changed my arrival date with no hassle. I also notified the other couples traveling with us, and they were able to get everything changed as well. There were few seats left on any flights, so I feel fortunate that we were able to change, and it was all because of randymon posting early yesterday. A huge thanks goes to Ivonna as well for making my changes. To me, it is another reason to love Couples and their employees. Sad that we lose a few days, but thankful that we will get a credit to use in the future. Great Job. I pray there is minimal damage anywhere on the island and that all Jamaicans are safe and sheltered and that all tourists at all resorts understand resort employee's can't do anything about the weather and to be patient.
