Default Private dinner in treehouse at CN

Hi everyone! We'll be at Couples Resorts 4/12-4/22 and we have a $300 resort credit to spend. Yay! So I think we definitely will want a couples massage, and I'm trying to figure out how to spend the rest. Since we're getting married there, one idea I had was to do the private treehouse dinner the night before our wedding. However, considering food is included at Couples, $170 seems like a lot to spend unless it'll be a truly amazing time. My other option would be to spend it on the night snorkeling. That sounds super fun as well! So....I would love the opinions of people who have done either of these things. Or other ideas of how to spend the credit! Thanks!

I'll be there in June....leave any leftover $$$$ at the front desk for the Captain and his 1st mate.

All kidding aside..I would use it for something you could not normally do such as the night snorkeling....have the photogs take plenty of pics...buy the pics and frames.

Pay a little extra and get your couples massage in the treehouse....instead of inside the massage room...the sounds of the resort are magical.

    Congrats on you upcoming wedding...

Here is what we posted after we arrived home from our CN last year. We still think it was the highlight of our trip. It was very romantic.

"Just surprised my wife with a private treehouse dinner on our recent trip. Arranged it through the Romance Concierge by using a different email so she wouldn't see it. I selected the menu when I got there and our Server showed up at our door at 7pm with a bottle of champagne. He escorted us to the treehouse and we had a fantastic 4 course meal. Very romantic. Romantic music playing that we danced to in between courses. The cost is $170.00 and also comes with a bottle of upgraded red or white wine. The dinner is covered by the resort credits if you don't spend all of the credits on massages. I would do it all over again and gladly pay the $170.00 if we didn't have any credits left.

Godfrey our server was great! He worked so hard to make it a special night and carrying our food up and down the stairs was not easy.

Just make sure that if you are booking it that it is on a night that you didn't have anything else planned that you wanted to do...ie the beach party, sunset catamaran cruise, repeaters dinner etc

If you are looking for a few brownie points guys, you won't go wrong with a treehouse dinner, especilaly when it's a complete surprise."

If you are into romance, you can't go wrong with a treehouse dinner at CN!

We did it one time, The treehouse is all enclosed, so you won't have any view. I would suggest that you go up there and look at it for yourself. I wouldn't do it a second time. So I'm not a big fan of it. Now on the beach might be the way to go? We passed on the beach and went with the treehouse, wish we would have gone the other way..... enjoy whatever choice you make!

I surprised my wife wife a private dinner 2 years ago. I selected the menu ahead of time once we where at the resort, beef and a fish. They came to our room and escorted us to the treehouse. It was really nice...was it worth the price??? but didn't know what else we were going to spend it on. Did it once, but it will be a while before we do it again. 44 days until we make our 5 trip back to CN.

Hello FutureFritzels (and Congratulations)! We'll be arriving slightly after you (mid to late May) for our first visit and have a similar resort credit. Looking at the rate sheet we had planned a couples massage as well and it looks like it will just about eat up the whole credit (depending on the type and duration). I'll be interested to read what others report about the private dinner though. What do you know about the night snorkeling trip (I haven't seen that advertised on the sight)?

We are fortunate enough, too, to have gotten the $300.00 credit. The dinner in the treehouse was part of how we spent that money. It was truly a special experience that is unforgettable and worth the credit. It's just the two of you with a private server who is not only comes to your room with a bottle of champagne to escourt you to the treehouse.. but stays with you throughout the entire meal. It is incredibly romantic. However, if I were paying for it, I would not do it.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding at CN! We've not done the night snorkeling but have that on our "to do" list for our next visit. We have done the private dinner in the treehouse and "truly amazing" just touches the tip of the iceberg in describing it. It is a very romantic experience that we would highly recommend to every couple to try. It would be a super thing to do the evening before your wedding to really make that day special. You have our vote for dinner in the treehouse!!!

We have done the Tree House dinner two years in a row and I highly recommend it! It is amazing! The food and service are top notch, which you would expect nothing less at CN. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic ! It would be worth it even without the resort credit, but since it is money they are giving you to spend, go for it! You will not be sorry! The first time we did it was our 30th wedding anniversary and my birthday. They had flowers all over the table and music playing...incredible! They went the extra mile to make it a special occasion. Last year we did it with my husbands sister and her husband and they loved it as well. I read that you can even supply your own music and they will play it. I am Hopi g to have a dinner there this year as well...for my 50 th birthday!!

I did it last year and would not do it a second time. I was very disappointed with the menu -- it was virtually the same food the restaurants were serving. I thought for that much money, it should be something above and beyond the regular menu. Also, I agree with ironranger -- it is very enclosed with no view. I thought the whole idea of the treehouse would be romantic, and it was for a while, but the air was a little stifling, and we spent much of our time standing to look for a view, and the wait between the courses was quite long. There was a little boombox with music, so we danced a little, but the boombox kept stopping, so we just turned it off. It might have just been a bad night for a treehouse dinner for us. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVED the couples massage in the treehouse!!
