What are Monday arrivals like? We arrive on Monday March 4th for our 1st trip to Jamaica and CN. Wondering if we should do the Mobay Club for arrival. If it's not typically busy, it may not be worth it but we don't like waiting in lines, especially for a couple of hours.

What do you do for the departure service? The red caps usually find the line for us to get into. If you have the pass where do you go for departure?

weekends can be a zoo at the airport.

If you fastrack through the immigration line in 10 minutes you are still going to have to wait for your luggage. They cannot seem to get luggage from the plane to the conveyor in less than 40 minutes. Then if you get to the Couples Lounge and you are the only one there you will still have to wait for others to show up. They are not going to send you to the resort alone.

We always travel on Monday or Tuesday so there is usually no problem. In the past we departed on a Sunday and the lines were over an hour for airline check-in and then again a huge line for security but not on Tuesday afternoon, there was nobody in line at security so the pass would have been a total waste for us coming and going. I would consider the pass If I was flying out of Mobay during the high season on a weekend.

    Thanks, Marnies
We arrive at 11:50 on a Saturday and have decided to purchase the MoBay arrival pass. I can see that it gets really busy just after noon.
We're not going to purchase the departure pass, though. I love shopping for jewelry, coffee, and rum cream at the airport. While that departure lounge looks incredible, it's not worth losing some valuable shopping time! Not sure if my husband agrees with my logic, but he's a good sport!

Hi drbcwp, after fast tracking through Immigration, we had a less than 5 minute wait for our luggage. We made it to the Couples Lounge ~ 20 minutes after our flight landed! It was pretty amazing! Also, Couples does not always make you wait for a shuttle to fill up......hubby and I have been the only couple on our shuttle on more than one occassion. Must just be the luck of the draw.....:-)

Myapapya, Once you have checked in with your airline, if you have purchased the Club Mobay Departure Package, you will be escorted to the fast track line for Security and then you can go wait in the Club Mobay Lounge where they have free food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, newspapers, WIFI, big screen TVs, etc. They also announce when flights are beginning to board so you won't miss your flight. It truly eases the pain of having to leave Jamaica!:-)

For those of you who have used the arrival service - please share contact information. Did you make the reservation on line or by phone? What is the cost for arrival only?

I see that you're back TRM. Hope you had a great trip!! How was Club Mobay?? Was it worth it for your arrival? Was the airport really busy when you landed? Thanks for your input!

Arrival (Feb 2nd) was the best money spent! Highly advise one to do it! We also did the departure - I have now totally spoiled myself and my husband. This is the only way to do it on a Saturday in Feb. Wish it was always offered - waiting in those lines are a killer.

When we arrived on Thursday at 230 pm it was busy.. I am guessing about a good hour wait but could have been more/less... The service was great and escorted us quickly through and to the couples lounge where we waited almost another 30 minutes for the shuttle (they waited to fill shuttle up). So it took about an hour from stepping off plane to getting on the shuttle to get to hotel. All in all it was good. It did take a awhile to get our luggage (about 20min) but loved not having to stand in a hot line up!

We did have problems on the departure part. We arrived at the airport at 730 for our morning flight and there was no one at the club mobay desk and airport security was unable to contact anyone. We waited about 20mins then gave up and went and got into line for customs. We went ourselves to the club mobay lounge and it was closed. It finally opened at 8ish and i approached staff who brought us to sit in the computer room while they opened up the lounge and made coffee etc. I did not know that they had hours of operation for club mobay or i would have never purchased return as morning flight was at 10am (loading at 915) Not worth the cash for us. We eventually got some coffee and snacks then showed ourselves to the gate. I have emailed and spoke to the club mobay requesting my money back for departure and received call today that they will reimburse my credit card. Appearently they look at what time mobay customers flights leave and base their opening time on that. I will say they were very apologetic to the situation. Would I do it again... yes. The arrival service anyways. No stress and to the lounge quickly

My Friends arrived the following Saturday at 11am and said they waisted money on the mobay arrival service as no line ups at all... but departure service was worth the cash for them (busy) ...so guess it is a gamble either way!

    Hey TRM,
Thanks so much for the info! I'm thinking we may end up booking it. The 12:30 to 2:30 seems to be the "hot time" for arrivals and we're right in the middle of it. Like you said, even if you have to wait in the Couples lounge for a bit it's better than being in the lineups sweating. PLUS you get to sit and wait with a beer Sorry you had trouble on your way out, but at least you got reimbursed for it. Some good info for the rest of us who may early departures as well.

    Thanks again!
