Here is a picture of Tower Isle circa 1995.
Two things of interest. Note the warming unit near the bar. It was used to keep the hot dogs, hamburgers and patties hot. That was the only food they sent over back then. And the food warmer only added lots of moisture the buns. And we still ate them.
The other point of interest, is the chaise lounge cushion hanging over the back of the chair. It was a fine mesh sack filled with tiny styrofoam beads. The problem was, the beads had broken down so much, that they sunk to the lowest point in the bag. As you can see, there wasn't much to lean your head against.
But I can't remember anyone complaining. We still loved the island.
