Default Couples Negril or Tower Isle

We are planning are second trip to Couples. We stayed out Couples Tower Isle during our first visit and loved it. We were thinking of trying Couples Negril this time. What are the main differences of the two? Can anyone who has been to both give me any insight on comparassions of the two.Thank You

Both CTI and CNG are similar except for the beach which CNG is much superior
Both are outstanding when it comes to restaurant choices and activities. Since you have already tried CTI, maybe you should try CNG? Then go back to CTI the next time you go.

Done all four. CTI is favorite with CSA second. Will have to do CN again some day to be sure but didn't really enjoy that much. Also tried CSS twice just to be sure. You won't know until you try it.

We've done both and much prefer CN. The beach is so nice. CN feels less like a hotel and a little more personal.

CN has a wonderful beach and a nice "resort feel" but CTI is more modern!

Here are the main differences between CN and CTI:

CTI (Ocho Rios)- Completely private beach, yet small; Completely separate island (Tower Island) for AN sunbathing. Island open from 9a-5p pending good weather. Access via small boat that runs all day. AN sunbathers cannot be seen from the main beach. Textiled guests cannot access the island. No beach on island, just rocks. 6 restaurants (Bayside, 8 Rivers, Verandah, Patio, Pool Grill, Veggie Bar) including one that sits on the water; the most inclusions (Dunn's River, catamaran cruise). Only 3 buildings with rooms so the resort is very compact and intimate. Everything revolves around a central location. Recently underwent a $30 million renovation - new rooms, new decor, new pools, etc. Swim-up pool bar. Also includes room service from 7:30am - 9:30pm. All rooms have mini bars. 226 Rooms.

CN (Negril)- Sits in Bloody Bay which it shares with 3 other resorts and public beach access. Separate section of main beach used for nude sunbathing, separated by a hedgeline. Individual buildings throughout the resort for the rooms. All on beach level. Somewhat spread out. Huge main pool with swim-up bar. 4 restaurants (Beach grill/Heliconia, Otaheite, Lychee, Cassava Terrace). Rooms decorated in bright colors. 24 hour room service only in select room categories and it must be ordered a day in advance. All rooms have mini bars. 234 rooms.

We have been to all four and while for the longest time CTI was our favorite, CSA moved into the top spot. We love CTI and CSA! In fact, headed backk for trip 11/12 this April/May and June 2014 to CSA. Happy to share our pics - amy.welch@hotmail.com

It's all a matter of personal opinion - all of the resorts are great. It's just that for what we like in a vacation, CTI and CSA both fit us perfectly with the vibe, food and activities. If you can't decide, you could always book a split stay!

We did the same thing. CTI year one, CN year two and back to CN in a couple weeks. Our reasons for liking CN more - Pool bar is awesome, the bay is awesome, the food is awesome, the ability to walk down the bay to visit the vendors and eat fresh caught lobster is awesome. The feel of the resort and set up is more our style. We like it a lot!

We went to CTI last October and are trying CN for the first time this June. Will definitely post about the differences as soon as we can break away from the beach long enough.
