    Default ** Life Vests **

Is it true that CN requires guests to where life vests on snorkel excursions? Thanks in advance.

    swaptrex,
The last time we were there, two years ago we were required to wear them. It was the first time we had to wear them. It was the first time in 8 trips.
To wear a life vest when snorleling is a joke. I spend most of my time under the water not floating on the top.
You might as well take the glass bottom boat ride!

Thank you for the reply. I think it's pretty ridiculous to make people wear life vests snorkeling.

Just returned from a split trip to CTI and CSA and both resorts required life vests on the snorkeling trip. It may help them with a liability issue but when you are bobbing up and down on top of the waves it is not much fun. Try to go out on the earliest trip of the day when the water is usually the calmest.

Squeeze all the air out before you get in the water and it's almost like you don't have one on. They are the inflatable type, not the solid style.

They should give each guest a choice and the ones that don't want to wear it would need to sign a waiver. I like to dive down under the water and am an ex lifeguard and awesome swimmer. Why penalize the people that are strong for those that are weak? The experience completely changes if you can't be free out there on the open water.

Please Couples, get a waiver for us to sign so we can enjoy the included activity of snorkeling!

We were at CTI in February. They made us wear life vests when the boat was travelling to and from the snorkel site, but there was absolutely no requirement to wear them whilst actually snorkelling.

At CTI April 11-18th. We were required to wear the jackets during the boat ride but while snorkeling the jackets were optional.
