We went to CSA last month and I decided to prebook Club Mobay for our arrival and departure. Club Mobay has 2 different services, arrival and departure. Arrival on its own costs around $55/pp and departure costs $30/pp. If you book together you'll get a small discount ($80/pp).

For arrival, they are waiting for you when you get off the plane with a sign with your names on it and they escort you through customs/immigration in a fast track line. They pick up your checked bags for you and escort you to the Couples Lounge to check in. After this, you head right next door to the Club Mobay Lounge to wait for your shuttle and here you can have your first Red Stripe, Rum Punch, and snacks. Our Mobay Rep Dane was truly awesome! He was very informative and seemed so genuinely happy to see us. He made several recommendations about excursions we may enjoy and was incredibly welcoming. Because we got in at 11am on a Friday in September (low season) the lines were very short so it did not save us much time, but we both agreed it was still worth it for the warm welcome and we really enjoyed having Rum Punch and sandwiches before the shuttle ride.

During departure, you go to a special line for Club Mobay to fast track you through security. Again, lines were not extremely long in low season so time saved was minimal however once we got through security the true benefit became clear. The airport was PACKED with people and since the resort gets you to the airport about 2 hours early, we would have had to sit in the chaos for quite a while. The lounge is a bit far from security, but once you get there its so worth it!! There are 3 large rooms, (one is for families I believe) and it is much quieter in the Mobay Lounge. The bathrooms were very nice and the food was tasty! We enjoyed several drinks, watched a bit of TV, and savored our last patties before we departed. We actually liked these patties better than the ones at CSA! They had very clear announcements for your flight so you never felt you might miss it, they called our flight, we grabbed some plantain chips (yummy!) for the flight and headed to our gate to board.

Overall, we found it did not save us much time getting through customs/security but we'll continue to book it for the piece of mind that we won't have to wait in long lines, the amazing VIP start to vacation and the relaxing no-stress environment on our departure. The food, drinks, and service were top notch! Only you can decide if its worth it for you but we highly recommend it!

    Default Departure lounge a must-do

My husband and I, along with another couple, travel to CN in the first week of December. We have done the departure lounge a couple of times and would highly recommend it! My favorite part is the peace of mind while waiting for our flight. Being able to just put our bags near the sofa we hang out on and not be constantly watching our stuff is great! The food there is OK, and there is the option to order from one of the airport restaurants and they bring it to you. The bathrooms are nice and clean; very convenient. It's the perfect way to end our vacation. The staff there is very helpful and doesn't hesitate to bring you another beer or cocktail (included).

I don't think we'll ever do the arrival lounge because we enjoy the Couples lounge and like meeting people vacationing at Couples resorts. It's my hunch that the Couples shuttles are set up based on arriving flights, so getting to a lounge earlier doesn't get you to the resort any faster anyway. I don't mind waiting in the line for customs I guess. After a long flight it's OK to stand and move for a little while. Sometimes we hardly have time for a second beer at the Couples lounge and are whisked off to the shuttle promptly!! For the money, I'd put it on departure lounge and save my coins by skipping the arrival one.

Go to vipattractions.com , click the booking link and fill out the form. A rep will call you a few hours later to process the credit card payment.

We tried Club MoBay and thought it was worth the $ for arrival & departure. True we did spend only about 30 minutes in the arrival lounge, but it was nice being whisked through everything. Departure was great, got a few beverages, and some pretty good food to set us up for the return flight. I will say the airport itself is so much nicer than it was when we first started visiting JA as I'm sure others can attest, so if you didn't do the club you can still find decent places to hang out / shop, eat, etc.

I booked through their website vipattractions.com. We used the arrival only service in October and felt it was very worth the money.

You can book Club MOBAY up to a few days before you leave for Jamaica. Personally, i would book at least a week before you leave, earlier if possible.

We didn't know about Club MOBAY on our previous trips to Jamaica. On our last trip, the line for Customs and Immigration started on the ramp down to the area. We waited in line for more than 2 1/2 hours.

It's a crap shoot going through Sangster. Sometimes you can pass through Customs and Immigration in a matter of minutes. Other times it can be as bad as our last trip and take hours. It all depends upon the day and time of day.

For us, we intend to use Club MOBAY on our next trip. Think about it this way. You just spent a bunch of money on your trip to paradise. Club MOBAY is only about another $160 for the both of you. What would your SO think if you got too cheap for Club MOBAY and got stuck in line for hours? Do you want to hear a big "I told you so" at the beginning of your vacation?

Only 85 more days until we return to CTI

We traveled on saturdays this month and it was worthless. We flew in on the 16th and the only plane that went thru customs at 11am.
We left at 1:30 and maybe it saved us 15 minutes.

The lounge is nice departing with good internet, drink and pretty good light food, but for the money its not.

But..........we did not get any crowds so there was no time savings.

Our flight left early, arrived in CLT early and one of the best airline experiences we ever had. Travel before THankgiving rush is a good time to go.

No regrets. sometimes the "house" wins!!!

We had amazing weather last week! Only rained a few hours on and off on Thursday. I'll take that!!!!!

We've used it departing our last two trips, and tried the arrival service this last trip. I think it is worth the money, mainly as posted above for knowing you won't have to deal with the lines. It can also be a nice surprise for your partner to get off the plane and see someone waiting for them with their name ion a sign (I'm not going to lie, it's fun!)

We also had the first Charlotte flight going down and I think they opened customs for us, no lines at all. It's hard to know what the case would be on any particular day in the future, and a late running flight could change the math in a hurry. The snacks are a nice touch. Departing it is way better than being up in the main terminal. By my math it comes out somewhere near 1.5% of the cost of the trip and is well worth the money.

Thanks to various posts I've read, we decided to sign up for Mobay service. We arrive on Saturday 12/7 at 12:55pm so I'm pretty sure we're going to be thankful we did when we get off the plane. All I did was went into my Couples confirmation, clicked "Add" and then they resent me an email with a new confirmation with the Mobay service added. Is there anything else that I need to do to confirm this purchase? I noticed they description said I will have to verify arrival flight time, but I didn't see a link on where to go. Any help here would be great! Thank you!

We added CMB to our reservation also. There was an email address on the page for the details for VIP attractions (link on your reservation for CMB. We emailed them our flight details and got a confirmation email and .pdf

We booked it directly with VIP attractions and they had a form to fill out that got your names, flight numbers, arrival times, and a description of your checked luggage. May want to contact them.

Just make sure you have your boarding times correct. We were in the lounge and they told us our plane was in final boarding, which wasn't supposed to be for almost another hour. SO we panicked and packed up all of our things, trekked all the was across the airport to our gate, and the plane had not even begun boarding yet. It was too much of a hassle to go back, but we felt like they rushed us out with a false fear we would miss our flight.

We have used Club MOBAY a couple of times and have some what mixed opinions. They do a really nice job and the lounge is very well equipped. The first time we used provided a special feeling and was worth it just for that aspect. Regarding time saved, we have not found it to be of value to us -- maybe because we travel mid-week and arrive on an early flight. We have just returned from Jamaica and when we arrived, we were in and out of customs in less than 5 minutes. When we departed, we were through security in a matter of a couple of minutes.

So, for us we don't see any real value. On our departures, while Club MOBAY is very nice and comfortable, we like to browse through some of the airport shops and usually only have a few minutes left to take advantage of the lounge. In the past when we did use we found only some breakfast items still out since it was a little early for lunch snacks and again, we were only able to use for a few minutes.

It is a nice option and as you will read on this thread, some find it to be a great value and others not so. Bottom line: the value depends on you and your situation.

We arrived on Sat Nov 23 at 1:30PM and the "maze" was full. However, it only took 15 mins to clear customs.

What would you say are the worst times for immigration lines? I've always flown in on a Sat around noon and even with a full maze line to the ramp it always moved quickly. Never more than 30 minutes probably. How far back is the line for these 2 hour waits people have??

This year we fly in at 3:30 on a Sat so I expect it to be busier with more European flights.

Think of it as "Long Line Insurance". You may need it - you may not. If you do, it' s priceless!!

For arrival if it's your first trip, it may be worth it but we beat the arrival group through immigration when we traveled in July 2013. Might try the departure loung on our nex trip.
