    Default Drive Time to CSA

I feel like everyone always posts different times it took them to get from the airport to CSA. It has only taken us a little over an hour each trip. For those who say it took longer was it due to traffic or something else?

We also averaged a little over an hour. Sometimes it can be changed by traffic, just like any other road on the planet.

Other times it can be the driver. Some drivers go at a more leisurely pace. Not too slow or not too fast.

One of our trips we had Stewart as the driver. His name may as well have been Tony Stewart, the NASCAR driver. Passing on corners and hills. Oncoming traffic sometimes had to use the shoulder. Foot to the floor much of the time. Exhilarating to some. My SO was a nervous wreck by the time we reached Negril.

You want to get from the airport to the resort quickly. Be careful what you wish for.

Our last trip to CSA, the ride was about 2 hours and 15 minutes...took darn near an hour just to get out of Montego Bay. The shuttle driver said it had something to do with a political rally going on at the time.

It may also depend on if your driver stops along to way to let people try some of the road side jerk places, or to use the bathroom, etc.

Had a driver stop 3-times once. Gas, bathroom, and to pick up his lunch. We were ready to drive the bus to CSA ourselves.

The last 3 years we have hired a stretch limo stocked with chilled Red Stripe and Champagne to pick us up at the airport. It's such an enjoyable ride, takes less time than on the bus and only stops if we request a bathroom break. The limo picks up us on our last day for the return trip to the airport. We have usually saved the champagne, bring along some OJ from the resort and we enjoy mimosas for our trip back. He gets us there before all the buses arrive and we are always first in line to check in.

Of course the day of the week can predict your travel time to CSA, but we are usually there within the hour. If there is a delay, well, it's so nice to be delayed in a limo with drinks. Not everyone would agree with our mode of transportation.......to each their own.....but this is our preferred route.

Get the driver named Blake, he drove nice stop only after asking us, (beer stop?) well duh, (side of the road pee break) yeah too many from previous stop. He also picked us up on the return trip and was very nice.

Do you remember what service you used? Is there a link or phone number to contact them? I love this idea!

It was about 1.5 hours for us with no stops, it was a Friday at around 2:00pm and it never felt too long. The driver was great and he was being a tour guide pointing out the history of the island. You land in Jamaica you are officially on Island time, put away your watch and enjoy paradise!!

Ge - Can you share the name of the limo service? What did they charge? Were there others on the limo as well, or just the two of you?
    This sounds like fun!!

From our experience in numerous trips, it's usually about 90 minutes on the shuttle...more with a stop for food/bathroom and a drop off at CN. Rarely do we have a bus full of just CSA people. It's a FUN and adventure-filled ride!

It is Montego Bay Limousine Service...........Howard Dunn info@montegobaylimo.com And you can go to their website for phone numbers at Montego Bay Limo Service. Sometimes it takes Howard a while to answer. I've always sent an email and then followed up with a phone call. We love it and wouldn't ride the bus again. They have other cars beside the Stretch, but that is what we prefer. Good luck.

It was around $500. They do have other cars available, but we get the Stretch each time. Check them out at Montego Bay Limo Service. Howard Dunn

Montego Bay Limo Service.....Howard Dunn It was around $500. We are the only ones. As I replied to others, they have other type cars available, but we prefer the Stretch. If you are traveling with others, you can split the cost. Fun way to travel to and from the airport.

Is the $500 round trip or each way? Hope it's good champagne!

Round trip. The champagne is what you get in the resorts, but mixed with OJ, in a limo in Jamaica........it's the best ! (other than the fact that we are heading to the airport to leave Jamaica The Red Stripe, chilled, in a limo in Jamaica after traveling for 5 hours tastes the best. I've already contacted Howard for our limo at the end of Jan.
