    Default beach at CTI

just wondering if someone could reassure me that there is going to be plenty of warm sun for me to enjoy on the beach at CTI the last week of feb.

We have been to CTI once and are returning in mid February. Yes CTI has a smaller beach, but it also is a smaller resort. We never had any problems finding chairs or a nice sunny spot. The beach is plenty big enough to accommodate everyone. A suggestion. There are some rocky areas in the water that can be a little rough on the feet. But if you wear some aqua shoes this is not a problem. Best if you buy them before you leave for Jamaica. However, sometimes it can be difficult to find things like this in the middle of winter. They also sell aqua shoes in the gift shop, you will just pay a little more for them there.

Something nice about the beach at CTI. There are cliffs to one side of the resort and a sea wall on the other side. This completely cuts the resort off from the general public. It is difficult for unwanted vendors to access the resort. About the only thing you see is the guy selling sea shells from a large paddle board. He is very friendly and low pressure.

Only 44 more days until we return to CTI. Getting a little closer every day

Whether it's going to be sunny or not is difficult to predict. It's much easier to have confidence that it will be warm. The temps in Jamaica are pretty constant and when it does rain it's only briefly, and refreshing...except during hurricane season (which isn't February). Have an awesome time hanging out on the beach at CTI. It's a great little resort with an awesome staff.

thanks for the help. i'm almost cosidering contacting our TA to see if we could switch resorts to CSA after reading through these forums/reviews. Seems like the beach there is more optimal. Anyone been to Negril in Feb? Is there weather more likely to be sunny/calm there?

Been there in 2011, 2012 and 2013. You will get plenty of sun, bring sunscreen. It also may rain for 10 minutes in the afternoon. Liquid sunshine. You will welcome the nice break. In three trips of a week eac time, we never had a red flag warning day. Doesn't mean it can't happen, though.

Haven't been to Jamaica in February but the weather patterns there are such that the Ocho Rios side of the island tend to get more rain and the water is usually a bit more choppy. From our experiences in trips to both, Negril gets more sun and the water is calmer. Of course the beaches of CSA and CN are awesome (soft, white sand) but those of CSS and CTI are great too!
