    Default Cn vs. Css

We have been to CN. Considering CSS, wanting to know what the rooms and spa differences are. Also the main beach, is it around the same size as CN. We liked the CN main beach near the AN side, but with weddings on that side we found it to be a nuisance having to move during weddings. The other side was very crowded we like to be more secluded than chair to chair. Thanks

We love the one bedroom ocean suites which have a bedroom and living room and 2 TVs at CSS. So much room and the balconies are incredible. We didn't care for the tiny bathrooms at CN and thought ours at CSS was a big improvement.
The massages in the huts overlooking the ocean can't be beat. You have to try it at least once in your time there. Waves crashing below you and the sea air surrounding you! Nice!
The beach is very different from CN. It's a small horseshoe shaped bay or cove, no vendors. But you also can't "walk the beach" like at CN. The au natural beach is also very private and sounds like it's just what you're looking for. When we're at CSS I always feel like we're on our own island with no other resorts. It's a special place. Give it a try! There are lots of videos on YouTube if you do a search for CSS. Enjoy!

The main beach is smaller at CSS. I've been to both multiple times. If AN is what you prefer, you will love CSS. It has a separate beach, nobody walking walking the shoreline, no weddings. It has its own pool, hot tub, beach grill, bathroom, and bar, and massage hut.

We stayed at CSS for Christmas and transferred to CN for the New Year celebrations. We had a massage at both resorts and both were excellent, however, CSS probably had the edge due to the venue, which overlooked the sea. The sound of the waves was amazing.
Having spent time at both resorts, we still can’t decide which we like better!! If a lovely beach is essential, we definitely think CN is the place to be. If, however, a smaller resort (slightly more select?) is important, then CSS is probably the better bet. Both resorts need to review their entertainment in our opinion. Couples promote a romantic experience, yet there is little appropriate music to ‘smooch’ to after dinner. Both resorts had lovely singers/guitar players for beach parties which would be ideal. House wine at both resorts (apart from the fine-dining restaurants) is pretty abysmal.
    CSS Pros
    Slightly nicer dining arrangements
Beautiful setting (we had no problem with steps)
Smaller resort so more intimate (and friendly)
    More rooms with sea view
    Exceptionally friendly/helpful staff
    Cons
No real ‘heart’ to the resort (with restaurants on two levels)
    Balloon Bar – little atmosphere
    Weather generally wetter/cooler than CN
    Small beach
    Shallow, slightly murky sea

    CN pros
Bar on edge of Cassava Restaurant encourages central gathering place
    Additional Asian restaurant
Huge pool with lovely split-level surround
    Fantastic beach
Additional water sports and complimentary catamaran cruise
    Two on-site souvenir shops
    Cons
Resort generally a bit ‘tired’ and minor lack of attention to customer care
    Inconsistent service in restaurants
Small reception area – check-in facilities limited
Piano Bar underutilised (poor lighting and inappropriate furniture)
Fine dining restaurant smells a bit damp

You'll have a fantastic time whichever location you choose.

Jean, having also been to both CN and CSS, I think that's a good comparison. I would recommend to Clem to at least give CSS a try. I loved staying in a one bedroom beachfront suite, beautiful views and less steps to the beach and the main pool than other rooms on the resort, and is similar to CN in that regard. I love both resorts, and plan to return to both. Good luck with your decision!
