Default CN junkies wanting to try CTI---convince us

Hi, We honeymooned in Couples Ocho Rios in 1987 (before it was CTI) and loved it. We've been back to Jamaica a few times since then, twice to MB with the family and 3 times to CN. CN is our passions, fell in love with it and haven't gone back to Ocho Rios. We've had thoughts of going back to where it all began but are reluctant to give up our CN. We are AN beach people and the island seems fun. The place looks beautiful. What we love so much about CN is the intimacy/size of the resort, the staff, the beautiful vibe of it all. CTI looks like it has more activities, but of course, you can't beat the beaches of Negril.
Tell me why we should (or shouldn't) give CTI a try. Any feedback is appreciated.

Go for it! Since you are AN beach people you'l love the island...that's the biggest plus and selling point for CTI. You'll love it because it has all the other features you're looking for...minus Negril's beach.

We are CSA and CSS fans but think any of the resorts are close to perfection. You'll love CTI as much as CN, but for different reasons. Have a great trip!

We started at S resort in Mobay then discovered Negril. Many visits to a Club resort and then we took notice of CN when we would walk down the beach. We stayed at CN 3x in a row then decided to try CSS. We did not like CSS as much as CN and then we tried CSA and we really liked that. My only complaint at CSA was all of the walking traffic on the beach. Then we tried CTI and we absolutely love it. The staff in my opinion is the best of all 4 resorts and the food was awesome. We like the privacy of the beach and the (2) pools. The restaurants were so good. We did visit the island a few times.

Most of our earlier visits to Jamaica were during High season in January and February. Both of our trips to CTI were in September and occupancy was low so we felt like we had the place to ourselves and no crowds at the airports and unlimited restaurant visits so that did make for a better trip.

We have never had any complaints about any of the resorts in Jamaica. We like the people, the ease of getting to Jamaica from Va. We do visit other areas of the world also but Jamaica is our "go to" place.

Thank you. From all the reading and researching we have decided to give CTI a try in early December. We're very excited! And lucky enough to be able to be going back to CN in May with sister and brother-in-law! Win-win! :-)

I think you'll love it. We alternate between CN and CTI because they are unique in their own ways yet they both have that compact and social layout. Enjoy!

By the way...being AN people, how do you handle going with family? We love the AN beach and wouldn't want to skip it, so we don't even think of going to Couples with family.

When we went with family we thought maybe we'd spend some time away from them and go do our AN thing. It was our first time away with SIL and BIL and we were having such a good time, and celebrating SIL's cancer-free status (that was the reason for the celebratory group trip) that we never made it to the AN beach. It definitely changed the trip, but was still amazing in a different way. That's why this year we are going just the two of us, and again with family in the Spring. And maybe this time we will spend some hours away from them on the AN beach.
