    Default ricks?

Can anyone help with what time the sunset is this time of year and how much can we expect to pay for a cab from CN to Ricks and back. Also about how long of a ride is it?
    Thank you...............7 more days

Not sure about CN, but when we were at SweptAway in May, a daily ride was offered to Rick's daily. I believe, however, that you were on the hook for the return ride.

Everything is negotiable on Jamaica, especially cab rides. Just be sure its a red tag cab (insured and bonded). Also be aware that there are route taxis in Negril and surrounding communities. One route will get you to/from the roundabout area of Negril from the resort "strip" (including Couples Negril & SweptAway). Another route will get you from the roundabout to West End (including Rick's, Push Cart, and other bars & restaurants in that area). This is the most economical way to get around in the area.

    Hope that helps...

Prob a 15 min ride, and sunset should be around 6pm.

There is an inexpensive shuttle service to Ricks from the two Negril hotels. This driver may be tipped, although we were the only ones on the shuttle who actually did tip him. As for sunsent, I would recommend that you check one of the major weather websites because they give the sunrise and sunset times for major cities.

the sun sets early, around 6:00

Usually the ride to Rick's and back is around $30, the driver will wait for you while your are there. It is only about 15 minutes. Remember to negotiate the cab ride before you get in the cab.

Ask when you get to CN about the sunset time. Its about a 5-10 minute ride. Rick's is ALOT of fun and very beautiful. The jump is great!! Bring some cash with you though...its gotten spendy if you plan to have drinks.

Right now, by 5:40pm the sun has called it quits for the day...you should see lingering colors in the sky until about 6pm. Here is a link to check sunsets any month of the year...the times are for Kingston, so just add a couple of minutes and you should be fairly accurate for here in Negril.

CN offers a shuttle for $15 per person round trip. Leaves the resort about 4:00 pm and leaves Rick's about 7:00 pm daily. We enjoy Rick's and do it every trip. The drinks are very high priced and the food has a long wait, so we don't bother with that. It's free to get in and last year we spent only one dollar for the entire 3 hours. Some say it is too commercialized, but we have a good time there. Go to the Tour Desk at the resort to schedule it.

Rick's is a bit expensive, but very unique. Well worth going once. Get there around 5:00 so that you can see the cliff jumpers

We went there years ago before the hurricane destroyed it and had a realy good lobster dinner, It was $4000 ja for (4. Kept the receipt.

When they rebuilt Rick's it now is much more substantial, covered restaurant, pool, stage. Food was nothing to write home about but a really great place to have drinks and watch the beautiful sunset.

I just posted this elsewhere, but call Sarge for a private taxi ride. 876-700-3567.
