    Default Ocho Rios resorts

Sure this has been discussed on here before but couldnt find any info. Been to Couples Negril and liked it alot, been to S Ocho Rios 9 yrs ago. Looking to go back to Ocho Rios and stay at either Tower Isle or Sans Souci. Which one do you guys recommend. Is one better than the other for one reason or the other? Thanks.

    jmeitz,

Having been to both CSS and CTI our preference is CSS. But that's just because it's what we like. You'll need to identify the things that would make a trip to one of these resorts special to you and then look to find them in one of the two.

    Here's some noticeable differences:
    - CTI is a more high-rise resort on a smaller property while CSS is built on multiple levels on a larger property (more walking and stairs to climb).
    - CTI has a private beach and Tower Isle for those that want the Au Natural experience while CSS has a private beach with the separate, secluded Sunset Beach for those that want a full-body tan.
    - CTI has 4 restaurants for dining and CSS has 3.
    - CTI has more inslusive excursions than CSS (all the same except for horseback riding and catamaran cruise).
    - CSS is a tropical paradise with many places to go off alone while CTI doesn't afford much room to explore.

Rather than try to explain the differences, here's some pictures of CTI http://www.flickr.com/photos/ecsimso...7621684003201/ and CSS http://www.flickr.com/photos/ecsimso...7621684193991/ to help see them.

Good luck in finding the one that's right for you.

CTI is a blast!! Everyone is very social there, you tend to meet a lot of people that end up becoming great friends. The piano bar is so much fun, not to mention the extra excursions. Going back for our 5th time in 64 days!!!

We went to CN twice and decided to try CSS in 08 we loved it so much we are returning in 10. It was the one that intrigued me the most between the two. CSS is a very romantic resort, however there are lots of stairs if that is an issue CSS is not for you. The resort is built into the side of a cliff, hence the stairs which add so much character to the resort itself.

Since you have already been to Ochi, you know the beaches cannot and do not compare to Negril's, but we enjoyed both beaches at CSS.

We are looking forward to doing a trading places day at CTI next trip, we did a tour of CSA last trip to CN.

Both resort are great. CTI is the newest and most updated. Look at what they have to offer and one will call you.

We Just left CSS so I am totally biased WE loved everythig about CSS!! The food, rooms, staff, entertainment,SPA everything was sensational. We compared our trip with another couple who went to CTI and there are lots of differences. CSS is lush with trees and flowers where as CTI is not and WE loved being able to lay in a hammock among the full moon and flowers in privacy for hours. It was everything we imagined and hoped for in a resort. if you decide on CSS look for Shellyann and Marcel they are a hoot!!

I just saw the hammocks in a picture on flickr, I am wondering whether they would take our combined weight.

After looking at the Couples resorts info it will continue to call to you until you go. Then it'll be even better because the wait makes going home to Couples so much better.

We are from Europe (Belgium) and have been in CSS (2008) and CTI (2009) and prefer CSS for following reasons :
    - a bigger place (park) to walk around
    - you can discover a lot (e.g. hidden jacuzzi)
    - we preferred the staff of CSS more (is subjective)

On the other hand, in CTI you can go out the park --> visit the local shops, is safe

Food, entertainment and hotel room are the same
