When we were at CN in March, you could only make one reservation per day to the Otaheite and only reserve 3 days ahead of time. You must be on the resort to reserve the restaurant. Theoretically you could eat there every night if you made a reservation every day for that evening. If you get to the Guest Relations Desk first thing in the morning, you can usually get a reservation for that evening as long as you are not particular about what time you eat or what size table you get. When you make your reservation, you get to choose a 2, 4 6 or 8 person table.

We usually eat at the reservation restaurants at CSA. We will make a reservation on the same day for one restaurant, and on the next day for the other restaurant. Then wait until both have been used, and make reservations again.
In between, we'll have a dinner at Patios and the Repeater's Dinner. (We don't like the beach party, and typically go to Feathers that night.)
Wally is correct -- the max is 3 days in advance, but we have never had trouble making a same day reservation. (We like to eat late, though.) There is no limit and theoretically, you could eat at the reservation restaurants every night. -- Except the night of the Repeater's dinner, when there is typically that dinner and a beach party of some sort.
Couples is NOT like some other AIs. Couples does not restrict the number of times that you can eat at the "reservation only" restaurants. None of the Couples resorts accepts reservations for restaurant dining prior to your arrival (although you can reserve the private beach dinner at CSA in advance).
Each resort, though, is slightly different in how you make reservations once you get there. At CSA, we could make reservations up to 3 days in advance. At CSS, we could make reservations on our first day there for the entire stay.

In fact, you could eat a full dinner at one restautant before your reservation at the reservation restaurant and then another at a third restaurant after your reservation. Or you could order three entres at one restaurant. No limits at all. It is truely "all you can eat and drink" for the entire time you're on the resort.
Can anyone tell me whether this is still happening? Last time we went to CSA (and this year when we went to CSS), when we went to make reservations at the same restaurant two nights in a row we were told that, even though there was space, you couldn't have two reservations out for the same restaurant at the same time. They said they'd make one for us and then when we'd eaten there we could make another one after that. This was kind of confusing, so I was hoping someone could clarify what the official rule is. Can you only make one reservation at each restaurant at once? We usually go for shorter amounts of time and want to eat at our favorite (Lemongrass) twice. With the three days in advance rule, it's hard to make reservations day-of.
