    Default CN Questions

I don't see where this posted before so I will try again.

1: Are US domestic beers served at CN?

2: Should we take our spending money in cash or travelers checks?

3: Who else is going to be at CN Dec. 13-23, 2010?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Just take cash, travelers checks are a pain to deal with.

Take small bills as most of the time vendors don't have change.

We just returned from CN 5 days ago...already missing the "life" there!

    1. Miller Lite for sure
    2. Cash - take small bills - we took $1 for what little tipping we did and mostly $5, 10, 20 only. Nothing larger and we hardly used any of the $20 except for paying for the one excursion we did off-site.
    3. It IS paradise - ENJOY - ENJOY - ENJOY!!!

They have Miller Lite and Red Stripe. As far as the cash, not much is needed but as mentioned above I would not take anything larger than a $20. If you need to spend, a debit or credit card is the way to go in my opinion.

    1. As I remember, the "Domestic Beer" (Miller Lite) was made in Jamaica. And Red Stripe is far superior. Love the lack of after taste.

    2. US Dollars are readily accepted. Traveler's Checks may be a problem.

Miller Lite is the only domestic beer and it's in cans. The Red Stripe is the way to go...it's yummy and is my new summer staple back home. They do have Heinekin and Guiness up in the Piano Bar. For sure have lots of small bills. There is an ATM on the property but was broken in January and had been for awhile. All the ATM's in town give you Jamaican money which usually the Jamaicans don't even want as tip. Be prepared to tip the baggage guys at the airport a buck a bag and any drivers you have....we tip the drivers anywhere from $5 on up depending on how far we go. Don't bother exchanging money...they all take and prefer US bills. We won't be back until end of January 2011 but have fun!

They also have Red Stripe Light, it was good. If you like mixed drinks, try a hummingbird. Theres a few others that were good also. They have a book of different drinks, so we just got the book and we took turns ordering drinks, There were 6 of us.
