Default Uploading Photos to Online Storage - DURING VACATION

Is there a way to upload our vacation photos...as it happens...to Facebook, Picassa, etc...without having to bring our laptops? I have a Blackberry that I will be bringing, along with my camera. But I hate to bring my laptop with me.
I'd like to upload photos throughout the week:
    a) so my memory card doesn't fill up
    b) so our kids, family, friends can see what they're missing! <g>

Thanks for your help, Couples family!

    Default Blackberry uploads

You can use your Blackberry to upload photos (taken on it or loaded to it) to Facebook. You just pick the photo you want to share and then hit the home/menu key and scroll down to "send to Facebook." It will appear as a mobile upload. Good luck!

I would say no unless your Blackberry has a way to do it. The computers in the Internet cafes are locked up (or they were last time we were there) and you can't hook personal devices up to them.

    Default Eye-Fi

You might look into one of these.

I don't have any first hand experience but it might be worth a try.

    Good luck,

You can do it with your Blackberry as mhw says but remember the data charges in Jamaica are very high. If your Blackbewrry has wifi then turn that on and use the resorts wifi to connect to the internet and upload your pics.

When are you going. I am bringing my small netbook when we come on Apr 25th. If you are there then you are more than welcome to borrow it to get our pics up for the family and friends. Making people jealous is wonderful, hahaha

Uploading a bunc of full size photos is going to be time consuming since the internet speed isn't fantastic there. You might want to look into extra memory cards. They are pretty cheap now. Buying from online vendors like newegg, amazon, etc is usually cheaper than buying locally but you can sometimes get a good sale locally. Beware of deals that are too good to be true. There are a lot of crappy counterfeit memory cards out there.

I never, ever, would have thought of considering bringing a laptop with us to SweptAway. Our camera cards are plenty big, and we don't necessarily have an overwhelming need to stay connected. BUT...

We did get a deal recently on an HP Netbook, and we're beginning to give serious though to bringing it, if only to keep our FB friends up to speed and very jealous of us!

    We'll see.

We bring a laptop and 8-9 cards. No access to the Couple's machines in the Internet Cafe.

Thanks, everyone. We'll be there October 1 - 8 for our honeymoon and first Couples experience. I really like the Netbook idea vs the lots of memory cards idea!

Depending on your camera, one SD card should be enough. And I just saw a 2-pack of 4GB class 6 cards for $25.

It's funny when you think about it how much we used to spend developing 35 mm film. But now we insist on dumping pics to our hard drives, reusing our $10 SD cards, and never taking into consideration that the hard drive might go bad. I learned that lesson the hard way.

(Sorry. My chart won't keep it's formatting when I go to preview it.)

I'm a redundancy freak. If a card dies, I have the laptop. If the laptop dies, I have the cards. If both die, I have what I uploaded from the laptop.

    Win, win, win.

One sd card! What if it fails? I don't think they make a memory card that would be big enough for us to use just one anyway.

The chart you posted doesn't really work for everyone. I had to find a camera that went down to that number of MP but I am getting about a quarter the number of photos on a card that is posted there.

MP are simply a marketing tool, thus the differences in file size. The chart is a decent approximation, however.
